Yah most likely. As someone who doesn’t have money into it, I have a different view of it all, and I’ve been following since the thread was initiated.

This is a valid point. while i’d like to believe i can remain unbiased any reasonable person would self identify and recuse themselves from the conversation. But before sit down and shut up I feel compelled to go on the record since i contributed to this discussion specifically.

Thank you @mmaner and @BillGordon for starting this thread and pulling it away from the “design topic”. These are meaningful conversations that need to happen and providing an arena to discuss w/o muddying up technical discussions.

Personally I do not think any of the mods acted in any manner which was unprofessional or unprompted. @mmaner is and was behaving in a fashion which is consistent with his history, skill level, and honestly showcases his concern and commitment to people he doesn’t even know. the fashion in which he slowly escalated the engagement with jeff is no different than we have all witnessed with other vendors that have not been forthright.
Lastly i’d like to state for the record mike’s post here is really tough one to explain as coincidence, but am willing to learn differently.

yes you and I are in much different positions… I have actual money at play here…
if he’s a legit business he should have no issue with refunding my money on an undelivered product, I’ll redact my paypay dispute, and I’ll continue on my way sniping perfectly good FOCBOXES (ironically also created by a sketchy vendor) and build my 4wd RatBoard…
only time will tell, and in this case I’m leaning toward the side of caution.

So if he were about to ship your neoboxes, would you still move forward with refund/dispute and refuse shipment?
Curious, cause I am in the same boat… and at this minute i’d rather not hassle with disputes, take the neoboxes and move on from all this.
