Lower down thickness

If you run a business, you maybe have as well employees to pay, rent, water, gas, electricity, insurance, machines, repair etc etc.i think you should know that from your fathers business.
@jeffwuneo didn’t come here as diy guy from the next door to develop things with the community to get a better board or something.
He came here as business to sell his product(s).
I don’t get the heck mack…
@hummieee pointed out what he think the production costs are.
People can now decide by there own if they by the pcb holder or not and from who they will buy it.
Nobody is force to buy anything.

What I ask myself right now, what’s the production cost of NESE modules and for which price they are sold
Or the old 4p/5p pcbs which you can easy order by your own for like no money at all. @Kug3lis didn’t 3DSERVISAS have had them for sale as well? Where they sold for production price only? Idk…

If the price for the flexy pcb is right is not to discuss. If it’s too expensive for people than they will not sell and good.

Your looking at this all wrong. Anyone can contact manufacturers in China and get this done. The PCB is not complicated, there are even wizards online that will output Gerber files bases on the criteria you set.

You just have to take the risk. Hummie had done that more than once.

I don’t understand this behavior that it’s ok to come dog on people that HAVE made products by people that HAVE NOT.

My main issue with this product is that a 200% markup is unreasonable specifically for a 10s3p kit. What’s a 12s4p kit gonna cost?

@hummieee, keep doing what your doing. Ignore these folks that wanna t well you your wrong when they have zero experience in manufacturing.

Sure thing bob.

You make assume what cost to make. my company make many product for year and we work with big company in China.

we still new offering this pcb and will get better price more make.

is many cost to make product not material only. we have tool cost is expense to make this cell hold and nickle.

if no want then no problem.

I’m not assuming the cost, the cost is well defined in the thread. I’m not saying you should not sell it for whatever you want, I’m saying there cost is high, likely to high to be commercially viable.

You have to realize most people are going to ship price, not quality. It’s unfortunate, but it is a fact. I also understand too costs play a party in pricing, but wasn’t is the key to reducing too costs. At this price point and form factor you’re likely not going to sell a bunch so the price will remain high.

If you want to sell a lot…The most common battery pack size in DIY esk8 today is 12s4p, is start there.

You not know cost to make. You not my company. Is assume cost.

I understand both sides, maybe you just need to find a way to make this cheaper somehow so people actually buy this

Because for a 100$ I will weld you a 12s3p battery pack, and the buyer wont have to do any work/get a spot welder/learn

Ding ding.

Stop cluttering this thread with pricing issues. It’s the vendors decision what to sell their products for. They are being reasonable and non confrontational despite an onslaught of price-tears.

You guys want to make it cheaper and sell it, go wild. People will vote with their wallets.

But @hummieee and @Kug3lis I’d like to remind you gentlemen that people buy from people on this forum and if you’re are going around threads firing your opinions off instead of just doing what you say people are going to see it, judge you and write you off as whiners.

It’s just a fact of life. Just get it done and sell it cheaper or keep it locked up inside. This product works and it’s priced what the guy wants to sell it for, that’s got nothing to do with you.

Yes @Brenternet you are correct, the reason why I am not much involved into this is limitation of single design, issues of too much flexing FR14 and etc stuff…

P.S. This PCB Flex battery design is patent pending by evolve if its get approved its all infrigment then

@jeffwuneo, you don’t have to answer every question about pricing. Just ignore.

Add all the pics on the the very first post. You can edit your post by clicking on the the icon that looks like a pencil :pencil2:. Can you show us any tests that shows high current drawn from the battery?

Jeff also filed Australian patents for ā€œelectric skateboardsā€ and ā€œElectric skateboard controllersā€. Good luck enforcing any of this globally when precedent definitely exists.

Yeah. There’s definitely prior art.

The patent is here. https://patents.google.com/patent/AU2019901007A0/en?q=evolve&q=skateboard&assignee=Evolve+Skateboards+Pty+Ltd

I mean maybe for electric skateboard components. For most other large industries trying to run that kind of markup is just asking for a competitor to undercut you.

I mean Costco runs with an avg markup of 10%.

Yes they do make a shitload of money off membership, but it’s more than possible to run a business and not have a 4x markup.
