Thanks! Hope it stays at 3 weeks otherwise It’ll arrive when the summer is over I’ll put my order in.
I didn’t follow this thread actively but I still absolutely love my Tarab + Orange nipples + Red wheels (hence why I get a second one).
Just I start to slowly understand what you guys mean with motor clearance. I thought it wouldn’t matter so much but especially when going diagonal over a bump, I realized I often knock the motors on my 90mm. A bit worried about how much beating it can take but now that I’m aware of it I avoid those bumps especially.
Yeah, got the same thing. See some people wrap their motors for protection, but when I feel the temp these things can get after two batteries drained, wrapping them feels like it’s not a good idea.
In order to get it to fit, all I had to do was wrap a wire around the lip of the plastic casing to increase the thickness of the remote. If you buy the battery elsewhere, make sure its 3.7v and that it has a JST 1.5mm 2 pin connector.
I have two of these 10S Wowgo chargers. They work well. However, these are probably not a good choice if you need a charger quickly. I ordered a pair of wheels from Wowgo in April and they just arrived last week. Covid has made their previously slow shipping even slower, but they produce good bang-for-buck products.
How long does your remote battery last? My wife just got her Revel and the remote battery ran out after an hour, while the board’s battery was still almost full
Thanks @Bfrome - the remote was down from full charge to 1 bar after about 45 min of riding. @Revel_Jason hi - just noticed you’re on the forum, is 45 min of use of the remote before getting to low battery typical?
Revel is working on getting a longer lasting battery in the remotes. My personal remote lasted about 1.5hr of use on average, so your usage is pretty short comparatively. It’s not too hard to upgrade the remote battery though
When did you buy your kit? You said it’s a new one?
Also, I don’t even have my kit yet (should be here in the next couple days), but does the kit and remote have firmware update capabilities? If so, maybe they could decrease the screen brightness a bit, take out some features that people don’t use, or simplify the interface. I’m no engineer nor do I know much about the techy/electronics side of these kinds of things yet, but I feel like any eskate remote should last at least close to the range of the board/kit it comes with. Not trying to sound like an ass or bash Revel. Just my opinion.
