Anyone else keep getting 502 errors in the pics thread?

On most picture uploads and any post edits for me.
Edit? Only posts with pics?
Yeah only posts with pics.

thank god it’s not just me. I thought the forum firmware got yeeted again so moving posts is impossible like in past times.

But yes, 502 everywhere, forum is really unresponsive.

ALso the reason why the tech.shit drama is still in the noob thread.

It’s a ddos attack from .builders

All okay here so far today.

All normal on my end

It’s only happening when I try to upload pictures, or edit a post that contains one. Computer and mobile, and I’ve been on 2 networks today.

We back in biz baby

Theoretically I’ll be continuing a go-kart project too this summer I’d be down

Looks familiar, ol Pavel gave you a shout out on IG. it does look very nice!

Are those holes spaced at 1.625" (41.28mm) ?

Negatory. Hole spacing is 54mm

Local rider asked me for something that could keep the key reasonably flat, rather than sticking out the top of his top mount box.

Added bonus of the design is that it would work pretty nicely for the side of a single stack enclosure with a little bit of shaping.

Oh so it WILL fit on new-school (only) style trucks then, just the opposite direction then I was thinking

This was not considered in the design, but what an amazingly happy accident.

Really interested how this turns out

One of , if not the lightest trucks for mtbs out there

Stacked cable pass-through that allows connectors as well?
I swear I designed almost the same thing, haha.

Eventually I got to a level of complexity (when I started planning for waterproofing) whereI knew it would be less painful to use an off the shelf solution. I had glands installed and wires routed in less time it took to design the first prototype, haha.

But I really wanted to see how well it would work. Please print it and report back!

Edit: Here’s my version:

I planned to have another layer on the backside in order to sandwich butyl tape in the center (same plane as the enclosure wall) for waterproofing.

Fasteners (qty 2) in the center minimizes the number of holes / leak paths in the whole thing. You could also move your fastener holes outwards and put a shallow channel for silicone on the interior side of those holes.

To lazy for connectors  but I modeled for the cable and the bullet connector to be at the end of the channel. I might add mr60 connector in the future, but I want to check how well this first version works!

Lmao it does look similar, pretty cool design! :sunglasses:

I took an absurdly long time designing this, making the center piece specially. I like to take on this kind of projects tho as I learn a lot!

I thought a little about waterproofing and it should be pretty secure, once the rubber it’s lated between the pertinent layers!

I’m on it!

This is my plan, but not with butyl tape, just with another rubber material. I’ll just cut it to shape.

I used 8 different screw holes, 4 of them stay out of the enclosure at all times and the other holes do not go through the entire part, so they just press the enclosure and the part together. The rubber goes arround the screw so no water can go in there. I just have to waterproof the end connectors!

Even though for me it doesn’t make a lot of sense as where I live in Spain i get little to no rain!
