Iā€™m not really happy with my strap, you got any recommendations?

Also thanks haha

i tighten it down when i ride, and keep it over my front foot like a binding. attach a clip or some velcro so you can secure the slack. my last one had a really nice quick release function, id just hop off, pick it up by the strap and throw it over my shoulder. that one was an actual backpack strap, i just straight up cut it off my pack and bolted it onto my board. also used it to hold down cases of beer between my feet.

Funny how i was just in the basement to look for a strap from a travelbag. Couldnā€™t find one

because of the slack problem, ive considered bungeeā€™s. but they just dont fit well on a board. a strong, flat, elastic strap would be ideal, i think.

Yep, the slack is my biggest gripe with it. I need to find something springy, maybe I make one myself.

at the very end of the slack, put a patch of velcro. tighten it up, see where that matches up to the other end, and put some more velcro. i used 3m dual lock cuz it was on hand. if you want the strap topside, i like it over at least my front foot, so i step in, and ā€œratchet strapā€ basically. with an elastic, id put it on the bottom, but if its just a regular strap that seems sketchy.

Yeah I think Iā€™ll make an elastic one and route it over the bottom, thatā€™s the cleanest look imo.

fer sure. looks like your enclosure would be comfortable enough on your back, too. took some adjustments on the boosted mini to get my truck off my shoulderblade.

Yeah no way Iā€™m going griptape to my back, I like my clothes.

i ended up just using the truck hardware and baseplate to hold the front end, it kept the wheels above my shoulder instead of digging into it. you know what? i think i have some spare guitar straps around hereā€¦ that could be perfect.

V2 itā€™s about to be printed, first version was pretty tight, so I widened by 1mm every wire canal, connector fitment was tight so I enlargened the holes and I increased the print quality as I printed the last one as a fast prototype.

Beautiful!
Canā€™t wait for water testing
Do you need the phase wires to come out 90 degrees from the stormcore? If not, you could lay all six paths next to each other to have equal lengths.

Yes as I really donā€™t want to solder anymore so the cables have to be that way.

Totally, doable but at this point this is the best path unless I divide the part in to 2, 3 canal parts.
