I have to try welding stainless steel but I heard thereās a layer (I donāt know how itās called) that pops when it cools off.

but the biggest opportunity for fails comes from not shielding or back-gassing the weldā¦ front looks oh so pretty, but the back oxidizes if not shielded properlyā¦
