Wow look at that concave, and the wings/flaps look less aggressive.
Great execution, I was hoping this level of cleanliness could be reached with liquid epoxy. I can’t find miliput around here
What motors are those? They look just like Turnigy 6374 “sk8” motors — except short.
edit:
Oh, they’re probably Turnigy 6354 sk8 motors.
I didn’t even know those existed.
I got it off Amazon if that helps.
Speaking of battle hardening, Brian @b264 I think you posted once that you use some plastic cylinder in the can to make a clean battle hardening, where can I find some? Pretty sure I will not find that kind of cylinders locally.
You also use miliput?
No; that is West System 650 with a few glass microspheres added, a lot of canola oil, custom nylon plugs, and the machine that turns it at 1rpm.
Does it make the epoxy less liquid/runny? It looks like white lithium grease
Not really. Maybe a tiny bit. The epoxy is very much liquid and runny before it cures.
Thanks
If you stop moving it for a moment, it will all run out of the can. The machine keeps turning it endlessly while it cures.
Either that, or apply it while in the space station.
I see, that’s some special tools I dont have lol
You are very talented, hope to get up to your speed one day!
Yeah you found them
They seem small, but I’m 95kg and they have been performing like day one for about 800km.
I paid 124€ for 2 in 2019 and 136€ for another 2 last year (for replacement or to drop in the omakase) on black friday and got them within a week from hobbyking.
Nice quality vs. cost ratio
That’s also how you can make things like this from liquid epoxy
I mean, unless you have a vehicle capable of achieving low-Earth orbit.
It keeps gravity from pulling the epoxy off while it’s curing.
It was mentioned earlier here:
Ah, didn’t see that
So that is some kind of crack pipe or what
It’s a charge cable adapter — a 5.5 x 2.1 gender changer.
