I tried to make this one gears but the Boardnamics gears I have arenā€™t the right ratio for 130mm wheels and I wonā€™t entertain any non-steel options anymore.

10s and the right kv will make it

Low Kv motors donā€™t work as well on HFI and unsensored.

Chains are the answer, I think.

@bboybowzer You can order the good tape measures online. If you try to buy one in-person, they only have those shitty all FUB models.

The day I went to Home Depot to get a tape measure, and they had over 75 all-FUB models and zero that could use modern measurement systems, and I had to leave empty-handed and order one online anyway ā€” thatā€™s the moment I decided that I donā€™t care if they go out of business and Iā€™m doing all my shopping online from then on.

Itā€™s outright disrespectful.

@wapkoen Where did you get these?

Hey the HF measuring tapes are almost always free with any purchase, and Iā€™m not complaining about free stuff.

Even free stuff thatā€™s 2.54 times the scale you need

free stuff cost the most, and usually it ainā€™t worth it

I made them. I was having concentricity issues with the sprockets i bought initially. Hopefully these fix that issue

Wow, this looks awesome, are there stls available online?

Are 8 teeth sprockets even okay to run with chains? Iā€™ve read that even 12 is really pushing it.

I just go by the mantra: if Jens sells it. Itā€™s OK. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Higher tooth count fucks up my ratio. And I donā€™t want more diameter on the wheel sprocket.

Yeah, search for GT2B on thingverse

What is the gear ratio you are able to get here? What are the wheel sprockets?
And what wheel hubs?

Iā€™m running 10/70 on 225mm wheels.
Iā€™m using #25 chain.

But have been pondering getting heavier duty chains.

I chewed through this 9 tooth pulley in about 2 monthsā€¦

Is the torque at 7:1 ripping your shoes off with 225 mm?
