Threaded Inserts: Which ones are best? And why?

I have a moderate woodworking background and get pretty moody about this topic so I will only list information. There are 2 main types of inserts used in our application: Soft wood inserts [Hex_Flanged_1] Hard wood inserts [hard_wood_vignette_1] Our decks flex and move. No mater what material they are made of. Those axial fuses are only available up to 15A and the local electronics store only has up to 10A. I thought I would be able to keep it small with the axial fuses but it didn’t really work out the way I have imagined. What Roman has done makes a whole lot more sense. Thanks for the link. I think that will be my v2.
