I love my Z-motes.

But I do feel like the universe is telling me to try something else.

Damnit. New and shinny…

Look what you made me do…

I’m not sure what you mean. I see the d100s is in stock, is there a lead time or something else that I’m not aware of?

For thumb wheel, I use vx4 pro and the rexus. Both good options but the rexus has some quirks in uart mode for VESC. Haven’t tried ppm.

In Uart: I’ve noticed very slight delays when letting off the throttle, it will keep in it for an extra split second and no smart reverse butttt there is a switch (full forward and full backwards) so no biggie. You can also do @poastoast mode where backwards is full current backwards but I haven’t had it that long and am not ballsy enough yet.

Mbs has a more approachable price on the Rexus especially considering the forum discount.

I really can’t believe thumbwheels are prevolent…

If you don’t care about telemetry and aren’t a die hard trigger remote person. Yes.

There are other remotes that people say are good and reliable? Yes, plenty; but none have the consensus of the puck. Especially and maybe even only the puck 2.0 (does the gt2b use a hall sensor or potentiometer?) ;

Despite the reflexive contrarianism

I want the solid signal of the Puck in a trigger format.

I have tried Pucks on a couple of occasions on other people’s boards…

Different shells.

And I do not like the position of the thumbwheel.

I’m sure you get used to anything with time.
But personally I have not wanted to take on the Puck form factor…

I’m sure you’re seen the very ugly trigger mods for the puck.

I bet a better implementation is possible.

I’m really surprised there is not a solid one out there…

Weirdly I just picked up a Puck V1 as a backup. I figure I know how to battle harden it (and I think they are already battle hardened now) and I like the action much more than the V2 so I went ahead.

It’ll sit on the shelf next to the Ublox

I am a little worried about mboards because I ordered it on the 12th and it’s the 18th now and it’s still not shipped. But I’ll give them another week since I’m not in a hurry anyways

Other option is the Radiomaster mt12 but it is a little heavy and made for rc cars

I had to stop using the rexus on my makerx setup because of that extra weird delay. I also never got telemetry to work right. 0/10 dont recommend

The vx4 pro has been good to me so far so that would be the one I’d recommend with the MakerX Setups

I’m pretty sure I run full current reverse on my board, is that where there’s the same amount of reverse throttle as forwards instead of the slow controller reverse?
