The Unfancy Remote | WIP DIY reliable remote

A few things on this version that vastly outperform the old one:

  • Cable management: it has pockets for everything! Also designed a “cradle” for the PCB to rest. Still easy to dissasemble, but the thing is not going anywhere.
  • Button: It was pretty easy to get accidental presses inside a bag, for example. What I’m testing here are some slits under the top of the case that leverage the natural flexibility of plastic. The surface of the remote is flat (with some subtle tactile feedback) and the satisfying “click” of the button underneath + the vibration motor do the rest.
  • Trigger blocking design: Super easy to replace, but the screws of the case itself make sure there are no gaps or unwanted movements while in use.
  • Countersunk screws look way nicer!
