Hello, I’m new to the forum. I have a raptor 2.1 that I’ve always wanted to convert into a offroad machine. Seeing how wheel replacement are hard to come by, I figure its a good opportunity. I was curious what your setup was for your faptor? Thanks
Going from looks, it looks like the boundmotor kit with tubeless 8 inch AT tyres.
But I can’t see any thermal improvement in this setup unless most you do are flats.
The craptor I bought had shorts on one of the motors, both Focs were good as is the battery. Not a fan of the deck. So given up on the idea of restoring it. So for $200 got 2x focbox 1.7, good battery, nanox controller (my 3rd now) and a craptastic charger. Not bad
That’s no joke.
No joke I was only expecting 1 focbox to work. I didn’t know about the short. My point if someone offered you you a raptor it might have some value. I gave the wheels to a mate.
This is a DD kit from @Esk8supply , I would recommend it
I’m desperate for outwheels and in Copenhagen if you have any leads.
Did you still have any outwheels?
I have two sets but im in the US so idk what the shipping would be.
Anyone feeling dangerous?
God dammit dont you tempted me, it looks so pretty. If I bought it I could have two none working raptor2.0 it would be great.
I dont get it. Why still invest in something you won’t be able to maintain
.
I don’t, either. But this entire thread exists solely to try and keep these abominations on the road. Each his own.
tbh, that deck isn’t too bad, roomy with a tail and the unity
and handle bar if that’s ur thing
other stuff are pure
(no offence to raptor owners, but let’s face the facts here)
if you changed drive train and bms
so keep deck enclosure cells and unity then you might be able to get somewhere with it
The only decent thing about the deck is the griptape. It’s a piece of shit, such a dead feeling horrible deck.
Damn got into the raptor game to late. So after reading up on the whole thread. I currently got a R2 with a new set of wheel and sleeves. I’m not really familiar with injection molding. But I can give a crack at making a mold with my unused sleeve and do a silicone mold and take a crack with PU casting. I couldn’t find any sleeves being sold anywhere like they were nonexistent then I found this thread.
I like the dead feeling, it reminds me of my dead feeling inside myself.
I suppose i should consider myself lucky having working Raptors, admittedly the amount of work put in to make them road worthy is like building an entire new board.
Ive rode a few decks - Loaded Tesseracts being one of the most versitle so far for me.
However i can’t help but like my Raptor Deck - the stiffness/ with proper soft bushings. really feels secure - not as locked in as a tesseract, but still not far from.
What am i missing? (im super lightweight as well which i suppose plays a role since i can use lower duro ranges/better road vibration absorbsion)
