a car and i tried to occupy the same space… it’d be easy to blame the car, they turned unexpectedly into me… but there were 2 assholes in this fight… I was exceeding the speed limit, i was tucked, and who the fukk expects a high-speed unknown object to be hurling down, unseen from behind on them… but in truth if i was a truck they’d be dead like Zed…
asshole drove off…
I was kick-pushing, down-hilling, a long down hill in the neighborhood, the board is trash, it somehow ended up going under the rear wheel… hopefully the three-links survived…
I’m ok… maybe a broke arm… not really any road rash for as little gear as i was wearing… helmet, (dusted) gloves, long sleeve shirt, boardies, vans…
fukk i hate the walk of shame when you’re sore, and got a broke-dick skateboard
be careful out there kids, and expect the unexpected…
at the minimum i tested the TLD helmet… it’s pretty much garbage, but my big head survived… I didn’t even see the white flash… my friend at TLD says they will warrenty it… and they comped me the helmet in the first place…
I would like to share my ride from 3 weeks ago. Circle around Vrana lake. total ascend was 303m of off road paths - pretty hilly ride.
It was my first time ever going that route and I had no idea what to expect. I knew there is bicycle path, so I thought it has to be possible to do it with my board.
everything was fine until I decided to detour from bicycle path and take mountain path (like path you walk in mountain boots). It was a bad decision.
On some parts, stones were so big that my small 8 inch tires just couldn’t roll over them. I had to carry my 20kg board on some parts uphill. I said goodbye to my life on those moments.
after around 5km of fighting with rough path and big stones, I managed to reach dirt road. I was so happy that I had to stop to touch that precious dirt. No dirt ever felt so good.
I managed to reach top - 303m. Opened my beer and opened my gearboxes to tighten mounting screws because they were loose from all the smashes into rocks.
other part of the circle was much easier - descending, enjoying places and ride next to lake and through nearby villages.
total trip - 60km, took around 6 hours. My phone battery died from all the logging, so I just logs of some parts.
charged my board and did another 30km run to drink beer with @Acido.
Awesome! Wish I had telemetry rn, went out for a high speed blast with the 2x Stormcore 100S and I think I hit thermal throttling towards the end, but boy was that FUN!
Don’t worry bro’s, after I nuked my metr Pro Unity last night by wiring it to 5V , another is on the way.
Yeah, definitely thermal throttling, can’t keep my finger on them for longer than one second.
