That’s the trick though, they aren’t work shop lights, they are nice flat panel surface mounted ones. They feel like (when the color is set right) like a skylight and don’t look too shabby imho

Dimmable too and many different shapes and dimensions so you can pick something that fits the space well

I’ll have to look into them if I don’t find anything for cheap in the next month or so. It looks close enough style wise to the circle lights so if I wanted to i can leave it up when moving

If you’re just looking for a large quantity of light for cheap, I’ve got one of these: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tough-5500-Lumen-4ft-Linkable-LED-Shop-Light above a table I work at, and I can confirm it produces a large quantity of light and is cheap. I just used command strips to mount it, so it’s removable when I move.

I will say that when I use my hot air gun, it starts flickering noticeably, which somewhat concerns me, but more about what my cheapo hot air gun is doing than about the light.

@DerelictRobot Please respond to PMs and settle your debts before you soapbox again my friend. Not an unreasonable request by any means and I think I’ve been more than fair (I have even offered to lend you assistance with your projects). Coming up on two years.

I hate making this type of post. Totally against my inner will.

Wear did this soapboxxing occur I feel I’m missing some context

Well this thread I suppose. Let me be clear, I don’t have an issue with that message. All for it. I’m just a bit sad that I see my messages gradually ignored and promises unkept. Again I’m a fair dude and understand situations change for people, but ghosting isn’t cool.

Which post? Sorry I scrolled a decent amount and can’t figure it out

Its older than I suspected, though still one of the latest. But the point still stands, no replies in over a year.

The techshit drama?

No, gun control. I don’t think he is pointing to a specific comment Andrew has made though… Just saying to respond to his pm when he has time to express personal opinions perhaps?

Yea man, that’s it. As you guys may know I don’t come on here super often anymore. But I do check in every so often to see if anything has come from that conversation. Instead I feel ignored.

Hey we still gotta hit the bike trail and go to Monkey Bar sometime!

Definitely man! I’ve been getting back into it this season. Did a couple runs from the Monkey Bar to Loveland on urethane.

I think I’m gonna piecemeal another vx2 together to get my pnematic running. Shoot me a PM, I’m down to ride this week or next weekend.

This is a semi public forum, in any case I’m time and date documenting “ I expressed my safety concerns with my supervisor and crew, they questioned whether I was scared,” in reply to my concerns .

When someone dies , I tried and I should not be fired or let go because safety is a distant 4th

Out at 5 foot three tall dude and a 6 foot three tall trench with Piss poor soil stability and shoring , and they laughed at me when I said we needed a trench shield. I’m in a machine, I’m going to live

Is this the meme where the guy comes up and says “looks like you have a bit of a shoring problem.” :joy::joy:

And what we have, it was a stupidity problem. These guys have like five and seven years experience and I’ve never had anything go bad. They’ve never seen anyone die or nearly die and they’ve never been fined $100,000.

You are not alone in this opinion at all. As someone in a tight spot this month I fully agree that ghosting someone who helped you out isn’t okay unless you are in the hospital. The only reason I could pay the first payment for this months rent is because I sold a bunch of silicone on X and Bluesky. I made it clear why I was selling stuff bc I really was going to be fucked bc my summer work was way less than it was the last 2 years.

I can’t ship things out as quickly since I don’t have the option to do mailbox USPS pickup after moving but I did keep everyone updated one times. Thanks to keeping them informed no one minded waiting a week or so before usps got stuff. Hell, I have two people waiting over a week since they bough stuff after my board snapped but they’re both cool waiting.

I really wish apartments would be legally required to have USPS drop off spots that can take packages. all we get is ones that fit letters. You can’t even fit a bubble mailer in them :weary:

Not asking for money since I did start a new, better paying, job recently and should be paid more than enough to cover rent before I have to pay the second half on the 16th. That and I prefer forcing asking family to lend me money anyway

Hate seeing pictures like this. It’s a perfect example of labor being exploited. These guys either need trench safety training or some lessons on how to tell their boss “no, that’s not safe.” Nothing about this picture looks right.

I don’t know shit about construction and even I know about shoring. Whoever’s in charge there shouldn’t be allowed to play with a bucket and pale at the beach.
