Well, I just screwed everyone I hit a wooden stave pipe. It’s very old wooden pipe wrapped in wire. I flooded my hole and now the fucking archeologists are coming.

This is what I found

  • Examples in San Francisco:

A redwood pipe, likely dating from the 1930s when Treasure Island was built for the 1939 World’s Fair, was unearthed in San Francisco in 2016, demonstrating the longevity of these pipes, as reported by Bloomberg.com. This indicates that they were used for water distribution during that period as well.

I’m working on treasure island now

Would let the magic smoke out it the running theory. Probably best to just drop that trash nd dust into a hole in the wall and call it good

That’s a nice hole. I’m catching up, but nothing like that!

Mines just as moist though, it’s been raining.

Apparently the police in my area *are getting dyno’s for e-scooters. I think this one just measures speed. It’s a good thing it won’t fit an esk8.

It looks like it will still have a police officer straddling it and a scooter while peering at the little screen which feels silly

Would make for some pretty funny fail videos!

That’s bad news. Our legislation only exempts two and three wheel vehicles from being “motor vehicles” last time I looked. Before that, the number wheels wasn’t specified and there was a 300 watt mechanical output limit.

I hope so!
Even not-fails don’t look very flattering, e-bikes especially.

I can’t tell if I’m more glad that they don’t fit a big esk8 or sad that I can’t get my exceptionally powerful esk8 dyno’d.

Terror in front of me today, I pulled the deck off the Mach 1 for a little maintenance issue and as I was putting it back on the front binging came apart… It wasn’t broken, the screw had backed out and was pure Irish luck that it didn’t happen in use, or jumping…

It’s worth a check, I put it back in smothered in Red Loctite. One other person this far has found theirs to be slightly loose.

The Phillips head screw/bolt looks pretty clean so not sure if they’re fitted with any retention compound of any type? @MBS

A little tape over the screws for cheap insurance might go a long way here? Just to keep the screw from doing anything in the enclosure if it does get loose and maybe you can snug it up with opening it up with a little luck too… or epoxy idk

Thanks for letting me know. I haven’t seen this with the F5 before. Out of curiosity, approx when did you purchase those bindings? In addition to blue loc-tite, they have a serrated head. Seems like a very unlucky instance, but I’ll inspect some warehouse stock for good measure.

Hot glue bb :sunglasses:

I’ve not bought bindings in about a year so any stock of the same batch are likely in the wild.

UV Resin over the top and Red Loctite should give me a sense of safety again. Bindings suddenly giving way can’t be good for the old bones.
