I’m so tired of people saying get a safer hobby,my current injuries are all from too much working,repetitive injuries and just a life of to much wear and tear on my shoulders. EVERYONE says “ what did you crash now” screw them they have never truly lived . Any activity that can make me forget all my cares,be fully in the moment,that is the definition of living.
My body is like a race car,if I retire it in perfect condition,I wasn’t trying hard enough, rubbing is racing,fuck I could die in a car accident or something not fun. At least going out doing something you love,well you were fully alive,until you weren’t .

I was going a max of 12mph the whole time if not less because it rained a ton last night and it has been a while since I went out when it is wet. I have no idea if my motors are water proof or not so I was also trying to avoid my wheels throwing too much water up
I’m going to shooting flares next, that has been needed a few times on my ocean kayak ( it’s brilliant orange) had a few close misses , one time 2 were needed , first in the air,next I aimed for the driver, because fuck me iff you can’t see a brilliant and orange kayak and a flare,well I’m not getting run over to avoid being rude.
People often hit static objects in broad daylight with their cars. No amount of lights will help you against a bad and inattentive driver
Do you also think this mailbox should have been wearing blinking lights? The driver was not intoxicated in any way nor did he have any sort of medical issue
I can’t lie, the new mailbox looks better than the old one. I really hope the asshole had to pay for it but since it wasn’t my property I didn’t get an update from the cops. Probably could have requested it but that tends to be harder than it needs to be
If anyone has had a full shoulder replacement,I’m very interested in hearing about your experience. I’m having a cat scan Friday with the very real possibility that it will lead to my left shoulder replacement,I’m 50 better than average musculature,but I hav a very bad nonunion of my clavicle. I broke the ball off the shoulder in 2016 crashing at the racetrack(sears point)I have no cartilage left ,arthritis,and it looks like the bone is trying to escape through my skin . Any information you can provide is appreciated,I’m a bit scared
