Only downside is the degradation on the GPU but I have not read studies showing it is bad or negligible
technically the main dangerous problems ive heard are
-too high overclock
-too high temperature
-dust buildup / windows crashes
that should still keep it in fine condition for atleast 2 years, and i dont plan on using it for more than 2-3 years imo itāll probably be outdated by then
but honestly i dont know what happened recently but almost all gpus are sold out or crazy expensive now
all because of miners, people like u

Nvidia even went as far as throttling the performance of the XX60 cards specifically so miners wouldnāt buy them
On top of the DDR storage shortageā¦ Itās a horrible time to buy a gpu

doesnāt matter if u only have 1 gpu or even just using onboard graphic of ur cpu, u r part of them. the more individual join in this crap, the more those huge rig miners have to hoard gpus to get ahead of this game. endless cycle. period. im fucking mad rn, i had to build a few pc the past year, first was cpu shortage, then ram price skyrocketed, the final blow was the 2~3x mspr gpu price
