anyone tried mining krypto with their pcs? i only got a single 1080 ti but i would make a 700-1200$ yearly profit from running it on 24/7, not sure if its worth risking my gpu but cashing out sounds like a nice christmas present

How much is electricity in your area? A 1080TI has a 250W TDP, so the entire computer’s probably pulling close to 500W when mining. That’s 12kWh a day, which in my area is around $1.50-2 a day (~$.15/kWh, subject to demand) for electricity. That’s $500-700 in electricity to keep the computer running for a year to mine.

i undervolted it to only use around 170W with only 1-2% lost performance, either way i dont pay rent so im in pure net gain
