Do you really think this is a joke ?

Do you even have DD’s or any stake for them to resolve the issues?

You getting hurt or almost hurt? Hell no, not a joke

This thread? Definitely has turned into a joke from what I can tell.

neither, I couldn’t care less at this point, at this point it’s an exercise in brand awareness wrong context

but to treat it as a joke is pretty wild, i’m a new dad, i could have gotten badly hurt, and the company who lacks QC says lEaRn To FaLl BeTtEr as their response - I am salty about that comment, I find this very appalling

Really glad you’re OK dude.

I appreciate you making this thread and agree that a lot of joking in this thread can be perceived as negative flack towards you or not taking your issue seriously.

What may seem like common knowledge to some is new and useful info to others.

In the end, vote with your wallet. If you have had bad experiences, likely so will others and that vendor won’t get the sales they expect. If they are doing a solid job innovating and taking care of customers with issues, they’ll be just fine.

Time will tell.

That users part is not really fair, you can say this if the system is easy to take apart like a gearcase that you have to assemble like @moons, however when its a closed off system like a direct drive thats made and closed off to be “durable” you cannot be expected to take it apart, especially if the drive is as expensive as entire boards.

Its something that needs to be mentioned by torqueboards if multiple people have this.

This is exactly why we dont trust stuff from china as much, they dont mention these issues and pretend all is fine.

Every two weeks there is an entertainment thread like the one that was made before by @Skateboard @lisa and someone else

You as a mister-recategorizing, should opt to create a new category “dumpster fire” or “Entertainment”

I think the users would still rather create their own thread as that yields a better interaction and click through rate for them compared to when multiple things are contained in one thread.

The brotherhobby thread is different. It was just stupid marketing that got shat on.

This case is a serious topic that technically fits inside the “Vendor issue” category but developed into a slight shitshow with people acting like kids throwing sand at each other.

I’m not going to start the back and forth again but I looked at these users, looks like they didn’t experience their axles fall off their TorqueBoards Direct Drives.

It’s cool that you’re cool with sub-standard quality control of finished, ready-to-bolt-on products, but hey I’m not.

Anybody down for a safety meeting?

Back in my whitewater kayaking days, I was known as Safetybreak.

“Safetybreak on river left” was uttered on many creeks and rivers in the US.

Safety tip: take a pair of plyers and start trying to unscrew random stuff to see if it’s loose and can be unscrewed (or not) so you might not fall off at speed

Pro-Safety tip—
Use the correct tool and regularly check all nuts and bolts on a toy that propels you to 40mph.

would be nice if the mfr advised you of that though  because equally there is no DD maintenance guide on here either

(I generally just make sure the wheels aren’t falling off, because that’s really all I thought I had to worry about with these DD’s)
