PSA: Be super careful with TorqueBoards Direct Drives, almost got very injured again with them

I love how you keep saying you’re done, but keep commenting. :joy:

I get it, though. You want to keep others from getting hurt as well as yourself, which is admirable. Props for being a good sport, even though we’ve been fucking with you a good bit.

And BTW, maintenance guides should absolutely be a thing on here. Great idea.

Me too. I had such a great day yesterday watching CuntFace Potter get what’s been coming to him.

It’s all fun and games until someone breaks a hip. Am I right or am I right?

Echo what Bill said. Valid points and concerns. Gamble we take on these dumb things. Definitely check your gear on the reg.

Important to listen and feel for any change at all. I’ve been trying to drill that into my daughters head. Pretty sure she’s had a couple of remote cutouts that she picked up on. I need to give her the new remote I bought for her but I like it so much I’ve been stingy.

You dirty bastard, you. Making fun of a cripple.

I’m stating facts here. Make fun of a cripple? That’s just rude, not my forte. :joy:

No doubt. Not the most questionable parenting I’ve exhibited either. Somehow she’s crazy smart and still rad AF.

Agreed. I wasn’t told that helical gears need to ditch the circlip and stack washers to prevent slipping can syndrome.

That was a fun full throttle crash while wearing a cardboard ufo. I recall yelling “spaceship downnnnn” in hopes of emotional recovery. It was unsuccessful.

Ah shit really? That’s good to know lmao

While I disagree with most of the other things you said — as I feel if you have to check all the nuts every day then you’ve made it wrong — but this here is SOLID fucking advice.

If something on your skate changes, or it starts feeling or sounding different, FIND OUT WHY!!! It’s probably not nothing, and it will probably try to kill you if you ignore it. …from someone who’s been there and done that…

Once you know why and what it is, you can make the informed decision to ignore it… but not before you know what caused the change…

I’ve seen you drag a motor all over StL. Epoxy doesn’t alway work. Haha.

You’re the only one that knows :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

At least I knew exactly what was wrong and chose to ignore it willingly

Yup, Lmk if you need any additional assistance.

I am… familiar

Really, it should be one perfectly sized washer but who’s got a lathe and aluminum stock tube laying around?

Not me :weary:

no 3D printer though

Yeah yeah, rub it in. Lathe is high on my list of tools to add to my workshop.

It’s just the tool costs that come with it that make me wince

I found that 10mm bearing spacers work pretty well. Still might need a lathe to get the right length.
