Problem with Slick Revolution/iWonder Cloud Wheels (SERIOUS)

Yes he’s the guy who flimflams the sales channel and points to their public statement on the issue, it’s fair to say this is not a problem with Abec wheels and the clones have thicker spokes. Hey buyer/rider beware…inspect regularly especially if you’re a heavy and/or fast rider.

he’s sending me some green ones but wanted to know if ups were still delivering here…they are for now

Oh ya i dont know who sawyer is. Only that ive seen lots of the negative comment deletion by a lot if budget brands. Not just in eskate. Its par for the course especially on paid comment sites. Just concerning if there doing it and the wheels are having a problem

These wheels are completely unsafe.

I have 0 miles on mine and it’s cracked…

Was the bearing particularly difficult to put in?

TB wheels are better and cheaper no brainer…

Not really feels just like my abec’s, bearings are bones reds so I don’t really expect them to be the problem

Really? They went in as easy as your abecs?

When did you buy those? And was it cracked before you put the new bearings in? 0 miles?

A bit tougher than abec’s but nothing out of the ordinary imo.

Purchased these from Amazon about 2 weeks ago, they definitely were not cracked when I got them.

I had the clouds on a board and was doing bushing tuning and that’s when I guess they cracked.

Did you ride them at all? Just trying to figure out if these are defective from the factory, i.e. the material had a pre-existing crack already. I noticed they all have cracked in line with a spoke. I’m starting to think it’s not a coincidence. Just trying to figure out why…

@jeffwuneo you know more about injection molding than I do, this hub cracked without ever being ridden, I’m suspecting these cores were cooled too fast that causes too much internal stress, this explains why some crack so early and some have no problems for a long time. This also explains the inconsistent sizes, and why they all start to crack in line with a spoke. It may not be a material problem but a manufacturing issue here…

Yeah…, I purchased with GC balance, so I’m kinda stuck with Amazon’s options.

I assume you put in spacer?

Yup, stock spacer

Would you mind looking and take a picture or tell me how far in that crack goes? does it stop at the spoke, go to the side of it or go up the spoke?

Hairline fracture, and it seems to be creeping downward.

wow I am really glad I got mine for free. Haven’t checked for cracks yet, but I’m still hoping for none.
