Problem with Slick Revolution/iWonder Cloud Wheels (SERIOUS)

My set of Discovery wheels are here.
Ordered April 16th delivered April 29th.

Here is hoping 3rd time is the charm.

Thanks for the bump! I got my new Discovery wheels and :frowning: they don’t fit the ownboard pulleys :frowning:. So if these are abec clones, and the discovery wheels don’t fit genuine abec, what the heck am I supposed to use? This is turning out to be a pretty lame experience and I’m starting to regret going down the cloudwheel route.

Ownboard to their credit are sending me new cloudwheels (but didn’t specify which) as well as some accessories I was going to purchase included (an extra remote and charger). The shipping is brutal though. $60.

No idea what to explore for options for the pulleys.

I told them to go the kegel core route, but no one would listen. Kegel cores have none of these clone abec vs genuine abec vs bad abec issues.

Just heard back from them that they don’t fit any brand’s pulleys (even though they list a lot of them on the site specifically under the discovery model.

“ Yes,discovery version has thicker spokes than original Cloudwheel.

We are now producing many kinds of pulley for different brand skateboards(including Ownboard).

Wheel pulley be available next month.”

I know these are tough times for I wonder, but it’s hard to see good guy @Hide trying to single handedly maintain a good image for the company. Job well done for sure, but it’s not an easy one !

Yes, thank you Hide, they did just send me an email saying they’d send the pulleys free when they exist. I do think the site should say more clearly that you can’t use these right away for your board, but I’m satisfied enough with the free pulleys eventually.

What a roller coaster of emotions!

Let us know if OB does send you the new 120D wheels or the old ones.

I purchased some ownboard cloudwheels maybe a week an a half ago. They just cleared customs, so I’ll find out in a few days if they are sending new or old to the newer buyers.

Curious, when did you order? Mine still says DHL hasn’t picked them up yet.

So my owboard cloudwheels, ordered April 16, still haven’t arrived, Its may 8. I reached out to ownboard, and apparently DHL had a bunch of canceled flights due to covid, but they do have the wheels.

I also asked about the cores, I was told that they did have cracked cores reported, and they “changed the material formula for the wheel hub”. Whether that is true is yet to be seen, but i will keep and eye on them and post photos when recieved.

Thank you once again to @visnu777 for sending the wheels over, legend!

I think looking at this the foam core does nothing structuraly, it just holds the thane back whilst they pour it. So essentially it’s just an empty space in the wheel and the softness comes from the wheel deflecting. Very odd.

negative ghost-rider… there are a “few” differing kegal-cores as well… mostly the chinesiium-direct-drives of late… are somewhat “off” dimensionaly…

Liked it, at least those wheels were good for something. I’m glad I got a refund and will never ever buy these again.
