Printable Hoyt Puck Shell Repository

That’s not really on the agenda, but I’m happy to forward the SLDPRTs (or you already have the STEPs) if someone wants to modify them. I think you could probably go back in and cut the tail off relatively easily.

I am thinking the next rev might have an additional 18650 or LiPo pack in the tail (which is currently empty) be somewhat translucent and have really bright amber LEDs around the edge.

So basically a brightly glowing thing in your hand for night riding.

But I almost never ride at night, so don’t hold your breath

I’ll have to try this other version. I was having the same issue.
Having to move my hand for braking.

Please let me know how it goes.

Guessing nobody has the “post” button print file?
I’ll just draw it up in Fusion otherwise so people can use it

V1 puck PCB on the left, V2 on the right.

V2 PCB on top of @tomiboi puck model, just shy of about 2 to 3mm of space on the sides for the PCB to fit, as well as the screw placement for the bottom ones.

I’ve had a few requests to redo the nug for Puck v2. Does anyone have .step files for V2? I’m probably going to have to start from scratch.

I got no files, but i can take all sorts of measurements if need be

I don’t have STEPs, but here is a DXF. The only thing that’s changed AFAIK is the outline of the PCB.

Buttons, thumbwheel, LEDs, etc. are all in the same position as V1.

That should be enough. Any requests before I get started? This will be a little different than the nug v1 because I’m going to start over, but it will cover the same priorities of being the most compact and ergonomic design that I can come up with.

The hole placement for the lights of the V1 Nug does not align with the LEDs. There’s 9 holes whereas there should be 8. That’s about it. Looking forward to the shell! I loved your V1 because its tiny and good for my asian hands.

Looks like MBoard finally got the nubbie throttle wheel up on their site

Forgot where I saw someone asking for a receiver, they just posted that up as well.

@Linny Here it is. I was able to use the original form. So, this is the same as Nug v1 except it’s 6mm wider. It still needs to be printed and tested as I don’t have Puck V2 guts. I designed it to work with M2 socket-cap screws. Lemme know what needs to be changed.

The fitment for the PCB interior is great.

Exterior is good too.

The USB C area for the top, the sides can be increased by a bit.

The sides of the throttle area is touching the thumbwheel, some allowance on these areas too.

This area is fine, just showing how it looks with the USB C
