threads like this are why some people are doing all their research and discussion on ESK8FREEDOM
I have 5 Flipsky FSESC 6.6 DUAL with big caps and no built-in antispark and currently use 4 of them.
One build uses 80100 dual motors with 120A battery and motor max amps through NO LIMIT firmware.
ZERO issue.
Did you ever use this specific ESC?
I donāt know about other Flipsky ESCs, I donāt use them I can not say.
Give me a link, I want to change that with my presence.
haha look it up on facebook, let us know how quickly you get banned for being a āforum karenā or as I like to call it ākarumā
I do not use facebook, nevermindā¦
and I backpaddled and gave my setup below the video
I would not recommend the flipsky at the price it is at now⦠for less than 250$ maybe.
and good luck finding escapesā¦
I am not that bad.
Yeah but the mods are lol
With IC shortages, it may become that the best ESC is whichever one is actually still available.
This is the most correct answer in this thread.
I edit all the time cause this fool canāt spel lol! So bad auto correct dosnt even recognize it.
- Good budget ādumbā or non-VESC for 30amp, 40amp, 50+amp, etc.
- Starter FOC/VESC for single motor
- Starter FOC/VESC dual motor
- Intermediate FOC/VESC single motor capable
- Intermediate FOC/VESC dual motor capable
- Money is no object for my build
- Ultra cheap but gets the job done
Can we have some suggestions for each item based on the criteria in the respective item?
I hate to pester and really enjoyed the convo thus far⦠however, I would really appreciate some answers for these questions?
Yup, fair enough. Apologies for gumming up the works.
- Good budget ādumbā or non-VESC for 30amp, 40amp, 50+amp, etc.
Hobbywing ESC, no question. Would not run past 40A, though.
- Starter FOC/VESC for single motor
Flipsky 4.12 or 4:20 (my pair of 4.20 singles still work fine after 2+ years).
- Starter FOC/VESC dual motor
Maker-X DV4.
- Intermediate FOC/VESC single motor capable
Not sure thereās one I would recco.
- Intermediate FOC/VESC dual motor capable
Xenith for me. (Still plan to get one.)
- Money is no object for my build
Stormcore 100S singles or 100D. Also Trampa Vesc6 are pricey but rock solid.
- Ultra cheap but gets the job done
Again, Maker-X DV4.
Hope that helps.
A Unity* at 150A++ motor max and a large motor is really good for this.
* āUnityā is any of the Unity, Unity+, Xenith, Xenith V2, or Tenka controllers, although Tenka has smaller current capabilities than the other four
Buy a fleet of three Kaly XL-R boards.
A China 'thane board prebuilt like Meepo or Exway, with motors inside the wheels.
VESC 4.12 and a single 6369+ motor capped at 25A battery max and 10S
I have the same experience, my pair of FSESC Miini 4.20 singles also work great still. Just keep the battery maximum turned down.
Lol I think that cross belongs to us argumentative fucks
I was not helpful. ![]()
Am I right in saying the 4.20 is a good deal more reliable than the 4.12? I think the refinements and TVS diode are generally worth the small price increase to the point where Iād really just recommend 4.20 but I havenāt compared them myself/need some confirmation
Iām not a fan of the ABS bolts holding the heatsink, but for low-budget builds theyāre not terrible if you keep the current turned down.
Where is that fantastic place?
