LOL. Tell me about it. Robin took us to this route and when we saw the hill. I was like wtf. I made sure I had good momentum to climb up. It helped maybe for a few yards only. Needless to say, we all hiked up. This is back when I had weird gear ratio mostly for top speed. I have switched since then

Yeah I think anything over 16 tooth on a 190kv motor … even at 16 tooth, torgue starts to die down, I love my 14:36 ratio

I found out w Berg’s that ratio has to be at least 3.0. I have mine geared to 3.31 at the moment. Way better torque. So so top end but I think I’m kind of done w crazy speed runs. Getting old man .

I could be wrong but I think changing the gearing helps a lot more vs switching motor kV, assuming all other variables are the same.

Yeah I agree, right now my ratio on bergs is 1:2.6 and i miss the torgue, but that is the only set up for nano gear drives
Its all proportional.
so 20Kv less is roughly 10% less top speed and 10% more torque
same with gearing, 18/40 is %% slower than 16/40 because (18-16) = 2 is 5% of 40
In fairness, the road was also VERY rough, so i had to deal with than on thane haha

Soooo turns out using a cell that came out of a vape was a bad idea. 39 good cells one used from a vape, guess what failed. Did some surgery. Gonna make sure it was that one cell and I may reuse the other 3. Or just rebuild the whole group. Unsure so far.

took less than 20 rips, did not bother to charge it back up that was some months ago
found the cell its at 3.47 where the rest are at 3.51
meh ill risk it.

some people fully cycle and capacity test a single cell then throw it in a pack, how is it being used at like 1C for a short time any worse?
or is storing a cell .04v off storage voltage that bad?
Given the way i’ll construct with these pre tabbed cells from nkon will make it not very hard to change the cells. It will be on a top mount box.

it was a 1Ω coil.
so at 3.5v that’s 3.5A = 1.4C for 2.5Ah 25R
currently charging the cell at .02A
got it back to 3.5v. It’s going in a 7P so It will have a EZ life
