lol I only ride in turbo mode…why are you riding in the lower modes?
Hey EDness, I do ride in 3 and Turbo but mostly just for fun. I also commute with the Zeus so I ride in 2 when moving amongst people… in a small and crowded city and mode 2 is useful…but not in this condition where in 2 modes it doesn’t leave the spot on a simple carpet flor or a out of a small road crack…not even on full throttle.
That sucks. I was looking for a 14T D shaft but couldn’t find it anywhere…
Hey guys has anyone tried the Meepo Cyclone airless rubber wheels on the Zeus?
I guess unless there is a pulley width difference between Ownboard and Meepo pulleys it should fit as the truck hanger is supposed to be the same, right?
Anyone some insight on this?
what’s this? a daly?
No. It was a Daly.
From a review I saw, There didn’t seem to be a seal around the top cover. Is there one?
There’s a thin reddish orange rubbery tape around the lid but the major flaw is in the design of it.
Not fully sealed and all of the grooves between the grip tape foam hexes contour inwards and channel foot debris/rain right on to that seam.
It must’ve been a preproduction video I watched, that’s sad to see. I had that issue with my original Enertion CF deck build. Dust and sand always got in.
What’s the plan on BMS replacement?
you put the stock esc back in? Bailed on the stormcore setup?
Hm interesting. The eovan gts super deck seems to have a much better seal than that, very similar lid
Any good sealant mods I can make then? Mines coming in soon and want to debris/water proof it as best I can.
Luckily the dude already had another bms ordered and ready to go. Just need to desolder the 2 leads on the old bms and replace with the new.
I went through with conformal coat on the old remote receiver board and sealed up as much as I could.
Currently shortening the phase leads on the stormcore so I can fit a charge port fuse in but shit it tiiiight in there.
@EDness nah the old esc is potted in to a form fit metal tray. I would have to cut the walls down more to get the pcb out and if I cut any more out, it would open the enclosure since it doubles as a heat sink. I snipped the bulky caps off the old one and conformal coated it so it’s basically invisible now
Don’t put an esc that is too tall in there and expect it to fit.
And especially don’t promise someone that it will fit when it in fact, does not fit without moderate modification.
In all seriousness, just make sure that rubber seal goes all the way around.
If you want to go extra, smear some black silicone in the seams where the phase wires go in
And where they come out
In reality, the stock esc is SUBMERGED in conformal coating so if some water got in, I doubt it would short out.
Well shit… I’m thinking more water got in than was told to me.
Maybe the bms case shorted to that positive terminal when water got in?
@Battery_Mooch I’m scared!
$hit that doesn’t look good
Assume nothing, check everything. This thing is essentially booby-trapped.
The battery itself reads well and the board performed fine until it didn’t recognize the charger.
Does that look like any sort of out gassing effect? Hopefully just a bit of rust.
