I am definitely not talking about regular impact.
My thinking has more to do with the convenience of having a thumb remote velcroed to your glove, without the risk of dropping it. In case of a spill, then and only then it would serve as a slide puck.
@DerelictRobot will your case included a small hole to add a strap or something so that Umwelt can fix the remote to the wrist. I think about something like this
