I was in town earlier, chillin on a bench eating my snacks, and this dude passes by me and my siblings on a Chinesium esk8 , his board looked like a wowgo or something. He slowed down when he saw my sisters Onewheel and said something like “hey kids, look at this thing, probably faster than that Onewheel or whatever that shits called.” Idk why he felt the need to brag to some kids but anyways, I knew it was my moment and I brought out my board from under the bench
Bro just stared for a sec and then rode away in silence
I’m wanting to create hall sensor/bullet connector extensions to just run no rear enclosure, and just run those extensions through a 3dp elevated stomp pad with wire channels beneath and have the speed controller beneath the battery in a larger peli case. Definitely want to use your Lego structuring technique @rafaelinmissouri , in general your builds inspire me
Though I’m sort of stuck on how to create/where to buy hall sensor extensions…
Phase wire extension is very easy if you know how to solder. Literally just solder on a female and male connector and make them however long you want. Just make sure to keep them all similar length.
Sensors wire extension is the same way except with smaller wire and connectors. You can buy both from Mboard premade. In my case I just bother @Pecos until he makes me a set.
Ok thanks for that, what’s the smallest awg wire I could use for the phase extensions? Any chance I can hop on that train @Pecos I will definitely need a little guidance for making those extensions.
12 gauge should be enough for phase wire extension. Just make sure you get the ones that has high strand count. This is what I use and it works. One spool is plenty if you don’t need multiple colors.

Probably just a skill issue on my part, but i’ve never had extended sensor wiring last very long at all.
Embrace the inevitable and just go shfi from the get go
Ok thanks.
I’ve considered that, but what exactly is Shfi? I know Hfi…
The s stands for silent
If you use 20awg silicon wire and epoxy the ends i get good life from mine… i say as im running hfi because id rather ride than repair the extensions on the bog roosh . Got 2000 miles on them though so seems durable enough but un tuned hfi and shfi are so good now. Also i tesa tape the crap out of them then sheath them
How do you configure hfi to be silent?
It’s an option for newer FW. But make sure your controller doesn’t have amy weird issues on new FW.
Algorithms, micro sounds too high pitched to hear… VESC magic.
Got some really cool shots on my friends insta 360, love that thing. Is it normal for flipsky motors to run a super high pitched whining? Or is that just the way i have mine tuned…?
Flipsky whine is normal. You should have heard mine, they were not happy on 21s.
You should have heard my broken magnet flipskys I repaired on the BNM1 straight cut gears. You could hear that whine from leagues away.
I have a very loud noise from flipsky 63100s resonating right around 5k rpm, no higher no lower and then just general noise too past 10 or 11k rpm.
It’s quite a unique flipsky thing, lower rpm fs6374s also have it very loudly and Maytech 6396 were quiet even up to 14k rpm. You can hear what it’s like accelerating and decelerating from that speed here 🖼 Pictures and Nothing Else! - #18895 by CarelessAquarist
