I figured out that you cannot trust pre soldered joints
It literally just fell out under the heat shrink from vibrations and I was confused why the board didn’t power up, I re soldered it with extra thickness and strength and now it runs again.
Happened to me on every phase on my first build. Every time I soldered one I’d have another lockup and find another one got loose. Made me learn to ride super carefully on a new build lol.
TBF it was a Flipshit VESC so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Haha I didn’t take one
Oops
Is it shiny? Does it flow smoothly onto the pad?
@A-damW hooked me up with a DIY Bluetooth module he built
It’s been working great! Really awesome to be able to look at all sthe more detailed stuff through the mobile iOS vesc tool on the go.
Oh and I was bored and put the entire board on a new board. Doesn’t really work, but makes it look like a moon rover
Dude you forgot the bindings
No thanks
it looks like this lol
I’m really loving the feel of the matrix 2s with orange shock blocks, so carvy and flowy but still fairly stable at speeds.
Matrix 2 is cheap, tried and true. If you want more turning at low speed, kingpin trucks are better imo.
I’m tempted to turn this thing electric, it feels so fun to ride non electric. It’s 19 long, 8 wide. I know. Tiny. I am on 5’7. I cut up some random board and did this. Advice on components? How do I avoid wheel bite… I think I want to try 120mm abec halo wheels.
I was thinking I could probably use my 12s2p that’s in my mtb for this build because the battery is pretty thin
And could probably fit in a custom TINY double stack enclosure. And then I could get a bigger battery for my mtb build. @b264 You builds inspire me a lot and it would be great to hear some advice on good parts for a short board cruiser.
Oh and I already have a 6374 motor, I want it to be single drive. I just need drive system, Vesc, trucks and wheels.
Brought the board up to some trails in the mountains, so much fun. Starting to get comfortable hitting jumps.
@MBS if you need a tester for any parts, I’m here. Located in northern CA, so not too far from you guys
And the trails here are very rigorous and have very aggressive terrain.
