When the battery is fully charged and you brake, regen power may overcharge your battery above 4.2v per cell. A charge/discharge BMS is designed to cut all power from the battery when this happens to protect the battery from overcharging, this means no acceleration and no brakes, just imagine you going downhill towards a high speed crossing road and loose brakes at 30mph.
Would you rather have a small overcharge on your battery which might even be insignificant and cause no harm to the battery or loosing brakes and die at the crossing? BTDT, itâs fucking scary.

Maybe, do you have a photo of how itâs wired? What monitor is it? The one on the remote? I donât know about that as I use Mini Remotes. Hopefully someone else knows
