Better?

Also I would like to use the antispark with a key for my gokart, is there any specific way I should wire it to the switch port? There will be no led.

That does look better.

Unfortunately it will not work with key without significant modification

Firmware is programmed to work with momebtary switch

I was just thinking of turning the key just for a sec to turn on/off. Would that work?

Yes that will work.

You will have to be fast on the key.

Do I connect K+ and K- to the key? I’m assuming L+ is light which I will leave disconnected

Yes it will, I’ve done it with my unity before

Can anyone help me with a Unity UART/VX2 problem? I stopped for coffee out on a ride, I think the board stayed on, and now it won’t connect to the remote.

I’m on an intermediate thrown together build at the moment while I wait for some stuff to arrive so there’s nothing I can access except the charge port, no easy way of powering the board off fully. I have a decent set of tools with me, but because it’s thrown together the enclosure is mounted with imperial screws and I don’t have the imperial Allen set.

Extra info: I don’t have a metr pro or xenigotchi or anything, and I just switched to iOS so I don’t have access to the VESC tool app. I have Xmatic and yours truly but I can’t find any way of sending a power off command from them. I’ve disconnected the Bluetooth on my phone in case that’s keeping it awake, and I powered off the remote, so I’m hoping it will just turn off from idle. I also use roll to wake, that’s why there’s no external power button.

To further complicate it, I just got a DRV error in Xmatic, though this has happened once before and it worked fine a few hours later

Lastly I’m not that far from home so I can walk and not in an emergency, I’m just a lazy SOB and don’t want to

Edit: I hand spun the motors while Xmatic was connected and it’s registering an accurate speed in real time. Looks like the ESC is ok (?), it’s just not being friends with the VX2

Restarting the board will probably solve it but that’s exactly what you can’t easily do. I’d walk home if i were you and take it apart.

Yup just got back in the door now, gonna swap the imperial ones out as soon as possible and probably expose the power switch so I don’t get screwed again

Here a calculator

https://www.bbman.com/belt-length-calculator/

Center distance of your mounts:

Center Distance: 62mm-78mm

how do i find center distance. Cant seem to find the diameter of both pulleys, can only find one

or am i supposed to choose. if so, any suggestions?

This here is the center distance of the mounts you listed.

You don’t need the diameter of the pulleys, only the tooth count.

So HTD5M

16T
36T
Center distance 62-78mm (maybe use the middle) the distance is variable so you can take whatever you want between them. That’s the distance the mounts allow you to move the motor to adjust.

Btw most would recommend a higher wheel pulley count for 110mm wheels. 40-44 is what i usually see recommended. (Don’t take my word 100% for it)

ok. thanks

When playing with the tooth count, keep playing with the esk8 calculator you can find on the top left of the page. Enter your values there and you’ll get a rough estimate.

what good ppm remotes are there if i cant go hoyt puck

You can technically run the VX1 or VX2 in PPM

The GT2b is also an excellent remote
