I just got a stormcore 60D+ to replace my dv6 as I need something with an antispark since there is no room in my build for a dedicated antispark and there isn’t even enough space for a bunch of xt90 for a loop key. I’m so tight on space that I’m gonna rely on roll to start.
The only thing lingyi esc was good for.
Lots of other ESCs are properly supported — like Unity, all the Stormcore devices, Little FOCer, Luna BBSHD, ARC 200, et cetera. Just none of the Flipsky devices.
Little FOCer has roll to start?
Edit: Nvm I’m stoopid
That would be awesome if it did
Basically blows like a fuse and disconnects a cell if it pulls/pushes too much current. There is one on every individual cell, so the rest of the pack should still keep working (just quickly get out of balance)
There was a lot of hype about it long ago
https://electric-skateboard.builders/search?q=cell%20level%20fusing
I don’t think it’s used much outside of e-car, but I could be wrong.
Only tesla uses cell-level fusing as their pretty much the only ones with 18650/21700 and others use prismatic or pouch cells
Are they licensing out their pretty on monthly leases?
Now you can get a car and rent beauty
A discussion going on here…
Ah thanks, if only I read a lil longer I would have seen that
Can you direct me to further reading on this? I am extremely interested ![]()
I don’t know. I’m not sure they are sold, except inside completes.
wait so do you use both ppm and uart or only one? which one is the standard? which one requires to solder additional cables? which one is best to use?
You can use both ppm and uart if you have Bluetooth and a pwm remote. None of them needs any soldering. Just jst pins of male and female if you don’t own them. It should come with the esc. A red, white and black wire for ppm, and 4 colored wires pins that goes with a Bluetooth ble and fits the Tx/Rx pin located on the esc.
They’re both dependent on the remote you have. Pwm remotes don’t need uart. Uart remotes do.
i got the vx1, no bluetooth thingy
That can go with either pwm or uart. But it probably is better in uart. I’d go ppm just because it’s simple. Uart is fine as well, but I don’t own a remote that uses uart.
so just 3 cable thingy into receiver and is complete?
Pretty much yeah.
