Noob question thread! 2020_Summer

Not normal. Are you sure you aren’t missing a spacer in the other side?

The only spacers that they sent were bearing spacers that I put inbetween the bearings.

You may need a spacer for that.

Sure, looks possible.

I’d be curious what modulation methods (DSSS/FHSS/FSK) they already have examples for with it; that alone can be a pretty significant development timesink if not already built out.

PortaPack I’m not as familiar with, if it has an easily programmable host device for the HackRF with some analog inputs, it might be well suited for this kind of thing.

Do you if I should take out the spacers inbetween by bearings and use those? Or did they forget to send me more spacers?

Do you know*

No, keep those in there. Buy another set.

You can just take a bearing apart and use the inner race as a spacer. (Look up on Youtube how to do that)

I’ve had this many times.

You can also put the spacer(s) on the other side of the wheel if you want to, but I wouldn’t unless it’s for wheelbite reasons.

No, those need to stay there as @Leon said.

You can also use those, if you have some more.

I bought the whole motor kit so I feel like they should have sent them. Fuckin Torqueboards got me again lol

I wish I had more. I think Torqueboards forgot to put them in my kit.

Thanks for the help

Lol I don’t deal with torqueboards after that remote and review bull crap. I’m just gonna look at some good builds and buy the parts they mentioned.

Did they pay people for good reviews or something like that?

They definitely do remove bad ones. Especially when they’re honest.

Thats the tip of the iceberg, hes done far more shitty things than that.

For real. The fact he couldn’t man up to the remote to be faulty and nearly ended me was where I drew the line. Glad I did too. Got me a hoyt. Never looked back.

Put this on his website with 2 stars. Guaranteed you ain’t seeing it kept there.

I think they have everything. As far as I know, anything that GNU Radio Companion can demodulate, HackRF can demodulate- within its operating range. It’s a bit more limited with the Portapack, which is just a standalone interface with a display and the Havoc firmware built in.

If they don’t send me a free set, I definitely will.
