If you flip your trucks the stand a bit higher for a hit more clearance.
Boys I got a problem, charger is green when not connected but it goes flashing red and green when I plug it in
Specifically red flash and the fade away is green. Is there a too low voltage for a charger, battery is at 30V currently (ended up farther away from home than I would have liked)
these good @b264?
Flipping mountain board trucks doesn’t really make a difference. I tried. It’s a trampa. I’ll see though.
Yes those are better
better or good?
Time to check every P group.
You likely killed the battery…be happy if not.
Nah battery is not dead dead, LTT is throwing the under voltage trigger because its at the 2.5V cutoff on a few cells
I mean I wanna bring them up to storage ASAP though but they are not gonna be destroyed
Temporarily disabled the BMS alerts, charger is green when I lock the charge port and does the blink red fade to green when I unlock it, but no current
Bought a 42V charger, hopefully I can trick it into charging by using something lower voltage rated
Building my first board, am now well acquainted with having all the cool parts be out of stock
. What’s the best belt-drive motor mount for 8in wheels that fits on MBS matrix II trucks that I can order today?
Haha welcome friend
Ive heard really good things about these mounts. Though as with all things LaCroix, they are pricey. Check out @Boardnamics mounts. Cheap and high quality
Anyone know a good enclosure for this guy? I had to slightly move the trucks lower for a better clearance without losing the angle needed to turn. It should be able to fit a 12s8p flat battery. If not, I’ll probably do another fiber glass enclosure.
Thanks! Do you know when the next batch of @Boardnamics mounts might ship?
@Evwan, while I would be willing to do that for a setup of mine since it is fairly short bursts of current the max charge rating for a single 30Q is 4A so if I am asked I am forced to recommend not exceeding that.
Each of us has to make our own decision where we will balance better braking with speeding up the aging/damage of the cells. Samsung 30Q’s don’t blow up right away just because they were charged at 12A but it can damage the cells over time depending on how long it is done and how often. This damage increases the chances of trouble later.
yes, unfortunately I must be concerned about the legal stuff. If you saw all the lawsuits that I have, and all the people who get sued in each, you would be careful too.
I noticed a strange behavior on a unity with dual setup. If I set the regen current below 5A only one motor breaks. Curious whether others can reproduce this.
I believe that Kevin has a shipment coming in this month.
should be arriving end of this week, so probably shipping start next week…i think
Good enough for me! Covid supply chain has been a real drag…
Hi there! I red about using good xt60 connectors for a solid connection. Anyone good recommedations of websites /(links) which sell these good qualtiy connectors (in EU).?
I do not recommend that for a single p group pack. 30Q can be charged max at 4 amps. So it’s best to leave it at -4 for maximum brake charge (you don’t want a fire ball in max regen). Battery max is 15A. An unfortunate trade off as Mooch said.
