Noob question thread! 2020_Summer

kinda tempted to just go with 15/40 for the torque

Is it worth to buy onewheel pint? Battery upgrade needed?

No, everyone I’ve talked to who gets the Pint is sorry they didn’t get an XR.

And really, the XR firmware 4209 is what you really want. FW 4208 is good too

What wheels?

On the 110mm wheels I’d go 15/42

the tb 110s

I can’t do 42t since I already have a bn 40t and just wanted to buy another for dual

for dual drive, 15/40 is fine on 110mm

okay, i just wasn’t sure if i should get 16t for the extra speed

torque > speed

my 2c

I also was confused as well. I read that from an old forum.

I had it backwards. It was less speed but more torque. My fault. I forgot it was the gearing ratio.

this makes 4 cents then, because my two cents are in that pot also

Lets call it 6 cents. We are well on the way to bus fare, fellas.

If I’m correct
Motor KV ?
Battery voltage or S No.?
Motor size or Amps ?
Gear ratio 15/40 :heavy_check_mark:
Wheel diameter 110 :heavy_check_mark:
Single or dule or quad drive?

All of these are needed to tell you if your setup will fit your requirements

I’m guessing but if we talking
170kv, 50A per side, dule drive, 110 wheels, 12S (50.4v)

You be able to do ish
30mph loaded 35mph max
You already geared for speed most riders hover around 20mph

Make that 8 cents. Gotta go with torque where I live.

But do you know any upgrade could be made safely with the pint battery, looks more portable, but the range is crap.

I don’t, I’m sorry. I think ChiBatterySystems knows a lot more about those.

I currently have a haggy drivetrain/kahua setup with 6374 190KV motors I am looking to replace. I have a flat spot keyway as well and just wanted to confirm that I am able to purchase replacement motors from another vendor without any compatibility issues.

For example, am I safe to simply buy from TourqueBoards and replace with their 6374 190kv or 6380 190kv motor without issue? If so, is there a big difference between the performance of 6374 vs 6380?

its all good

torque is then
i mean who wouldn’t want to race cars in a neighborhood

(not actually, gotta be safe)

Is the Kaly bolt pattern the same as Trampa? @Kaly?

(I’m designing an adapter for my DAVEGA since there’s a fair amount of inquiries from Kaly riders.)
