Do I need all 4 pins connected?

Is it me, or is a 4wd hub motor board a great ways to implement 4wd? We have lots of 4wd belt drive boards, and even a prebuit meepo and exway options, but it seems like 4wd will solve a hub motors biggest downside - torque. I’m referring to those large 150mmish airless rubber hub motors. I believe the meepo AWD pro does this, and it would be cool to see 4wd hub motor boards with torque similar to a belt drive board. (this is riddled with grammar issues that I’m too tired to fix)
You’re not wrong. I’d rather use 4wD in hubs over belts tbh. I enjoy the looks more and it helps out with the torque the hubs lack. I’d buy another retro and make my board 4wd hub motors just for the enjoyment of having more torque and sleek design.
Ecomobl has an offering like this too I think but I still don’t think it’s as strong as a good 2 motor belt drive
I absolutely love my Backfire Ranger X2. The wheels are comfortable and the motors are definitely not the weak link. I have strongly considered doing a 4WD build with these motors, but $600 for a full drivetrain is a bit steep.
Only connect can L and can H. The other pins are only for giving power but all the vescs in the system are self powered so they will damage each other.
What kind of loctite would be recommended for shoulder bolts replacing hanger axles, the blue one?
It’s kind of important it doesn’t fall off but otoh they need to be serviceable to replace the tires…
It really burns my bottom when I ask a question and someone responds with “but why do it” instead of telling me how to do it.
So I’ll tell you first, I don’t know. Maybe Loctite 290, but you may need heat to remove it later.
But really, I can’t recommend highly enough to not use shoulder bolts. What hanger is it?
Torque.
Maybe the tiiinyest little drop of blue loctite on 2-3 threads and gently wipe off the excess before inserting. You will still have serious trouble taking that out later, but it’s a bit better

I spoke with him but unfortunately he doesn’t have long enough axles for the moon gd

What are motor cans made of? Steel or aluminium?
Both. The part around the magnets is steel because it needs to be ferrous, the end cap and magnet retention pieces are typically aluminum because they need to be not ferrous.
