why are the tb v7 motor mounts so expensive?

They are on my site. I have been making some and they are going out to anodizing, but I might just have a bunch made at the factory so I can stock them for a while.

Because torqueboards isn’t cheap with “new products” like the $750 AT kit.

BLDC with sensors aka. hybrid mode. Imho there is no reason to switch to foc, cause I can hear that strange noise when turning motor manually

No changes at all, still sth “kocking”
I’ll return that to HK, will see what they say

Thank you guys

The TB V7 motor mounts are some of the strongest out there. They’re like double the thickness, mount perfectly, and have a crossbar. I fully support them haha

okay thats fair

i was just comparing them to the Bn mounts and seeing that they were double the price surprised me

BN mounts are just really cheap (not in a bad way, he just has like the best prices on the market). Also the TB ones are way stronger arguably, big difference

That makes sense. I just was looking for a mount that was a bit longer since I wanted the motors to stick out the back but the bn mounts didnt seem long enough but tb was expensive lol

I have BN reverse mounted on my board, drop through. They’re parallel to the ground that way

Are you talking about your bluebird build?:joy: Because I saw that lol. I might just end up getting bn mounts with idlers even tho they’re not exactly what i want

Im doing this now and holy low ground clearance.

It’s because there twice as thick than the old ones @Taraskasyanyuk or @Skyart can way in on them image

Do many people use fuses between their charge port minus and BMS? Wondering if to bite the bullet and add this in ?

Cheapest I can find for an 80A fuse in like with silicon wire is like 18€ included postage.

I have TB v6 mounts on one board and BN mounts on three others. No doubt the v7 TB mounts are thicker than the old ones, but do they still come with those shitty button screws for mating the motor mount to the hanger clamp? I stripped a bunch of those and can no longer really adjust my TB setup, whereas the hardware that comes with the BN stuff seems to be a lot more durable and tolerant of removal and re-use.

yes, it’s cheaper than breaking something as a result of not having the fuse.

What size fuse do you use ?

Not sure what you mean by size, but for the fuse capacity you dont want more than like 15-20a for a fast charger, and significantly less for a “slow” charger.
