Ah. I’m still new to the terminology to esk8.
No. The BMS cannot step down the voltage. You either get whatever the battery voltage is, or you get nothing.
If you need low voltage power, you need something else to drop the voltage. Probably a switching regulator.
gonna be a urethane build with dual tb6😁
where would i find a metal plate and how would i mount it to the board and escs?
is there any guide to installing or is it just one of those figure it out urself sorta thing lol
Not sure if there is a guide, but it’s easy enough, one big cutout and 4 holes in the enclosure, bolt the two esc on the plate using 8 screws, then bolt the plate to the heatsink itself securing with the 4 corner bolts to the enclosure
@surfnacho can correct me if I got it wrong
that seems simple to me thanks!
Anyone know where i can get some sensor wire extendors?? Cheers
@frame Thanks as always!
There is an enclosure cut guide on my website under the downloads section. As he pointed out, it is very simple to install requiring only a few included screws.
8mm vs 10mm motor shafts…why would I want one over the other?
10mm is less likely to bent, and u get to use the beautiful rainbow titanium pulley from lacroix?
8mm is lighter and they never break anyway
Plus ~90% of all pulleys on the esk8 market are 8mm bore and ~99% are HTD5M and ~90% are 15mm so if you stick with those, less headaches for you
(and more resale value, I won’t buy a 10mm shaft motor on the used market, for example)
Thanks. Aside from bending is there a reason 8mm is preferable? (Gear-drive setups maybe?). The Current motor GB people are requesting 8mm or bust, just wondering y…
honestly i don’t see the need for 10mm, when u need 10mm, u will know it, until then, stick with 8mm
On thanks. Take away is stick with 8mm
10mm is preferred in other aplication with mutch higher gear ratios and loads
Would you drive a 18ton lorry to the shops to pick up a snake?
Can you guys tell me a good belt vendor in Europe? I’m looking for a 310 long belt but I don’t want to pay 10€ for it plus 10€ shipping!
Shipping is always a killer
