Cheers!
Not connected to vesc tool. Just vesc out of the box and soldered bullets onto hubs. Just wanted to check if it would work before using vesc tool.
Oh, that won’t work. You need to do detection before you can expect anything decent out of your motors.
@BillGordon while you’re here, Is there any way to run motor detection BLDC not FOC?
On which version of vesc tool?
Im on the newest one
Okay. Just thought it wouldn’t be an issue as they’re set up for the direct drives at 27a, so I hear, which is similar to meepo esc. Your support and wisdom much appreciated.
Eh Idk, I’m in the same boat. My spacers were barely too short and just rattled. Figured they weren’t doing anything anyway. MBS team riders don’t even use them
They’re pretty monstrous bearings so ill see whats it’s like without, cheers haha
Like @bollen said, just don’t over torque the nuts down. I spin the wheel while slowly tightening it. Stop and recheck often.
Does this look alright?
APS 6384S’S
6S10P samsung 25R’S
VESC 6.6 Plus
I’ve heard about FOC being only really viable for lower currents to protect the Vesc but I really can’t get BLDC to work
Do the “real wooden inserts” twist into the wood?
Maybe 12h wasn’t enough, but if I put in a screw and turn it, the insert starts to turn along with it…
Will leave it for another 12h and see if it has gotten better.
If I can take them out with no effort, Ill replace them with the “real inserts”
Wish me luck!
thinking about replacing my tb vesc with focbox 1.6/1.7 setup, will that work without thermal throttling like the tb vesc does?
Yes, they are threaded like wood screws are.
Why don’t you go unity / vesc 6 if you want good thermals?
well i can purchase 2 focboxes 180 shipped wondering if that will make my experience better
ftfy. ffs. ocd. ftf me actually.
what?
Whoops, had my symbols rotated by 45 degrees there.
Thanks
That means the @3DServisas calculator is broken then
