Noob question thread! 2020_Summer

Try to borrow one if possible. The first thing you can rule out without opening the board is the charger.
If it gives out what’s on the label, then it’s likely to be something else inside the board

will borrow, need instructions though…
k, thx

If you unplug the charger and plug it back in, does the charge led go red like it’s going back to 93%?

My float charger does this where it charges my board to 93% and then drops off.

Annoying for a board you want fully charged ready to go but nice for a board you want to keep mildly charged.

You mean it’s a feature? When i unplug it and plug it back in, the led stays red - no additional charging.
When i spin the motor for a few seconds and plug it back in, it will go up to 93% and then turn red again.
Can’t remember stopping at 93% in the first few days though.

I have the same yzpower charger as him. Definetly cc/cv.
I had a problem where one single battery cell did not make a proper connection and around 80-85% it would start and stop every few minutes.
Upon measuring, that p group was jumping around 4.20~.25v causing the bms to cutoff the charge, while the rest was under 4.08v

Can still be CC/CV and either trickle or float charger

If you plug in a fuel gauge to the charger only and not the board, a trickle charger will go to full voltage and stay there. A float charger will go on/off/on/off/on/off/on/off endlessly every couple seconds until you plug it into a board.

Is there a diebiems guru on here apart from @sam? i need help understanding it

Charger always stays at 50.4v and when the battery reaches 50.4v it continues to feed the voltage to it continuously.
Also i know that the bms was cutting the power because there was no voltage on it’s common port

How to use a loop key ?

Help! using vx1 and all 3 speed modes are the same.

Speed modes are for UART mode, and only changes the acceleration curve not top speed. Stupid I know.

What a braindead functionality choice. Defeats the purpose completely

I found this out after letting my 6 year old try my new board. I thought having it on one led would speed limit. It didn’t.

But metr pro came to the rescue.

I can’t tell what’s going on here. The left belt keeps loosening up. I am 99% sure that it’s not the motors coming loose because it’s not moving at all. The right one has been solid. Could have putting them on too tight originally caused the left one to stretch? I think I also had put the right one on tight as well but it has been solid.

Are they different makes one has blue writing one doesn’t.
