Size comparison. Small 4gs vs moon
Lol can you put them flat side by side so it gives a better comparison?
@Venom121212 better? lol
Any chance you’re working on a way to use these with SRB 3Link trucks?
That looks way fair to me ![]()
Lol definitely more fair, but it’s still backwards. Weirdly, the larger side on the newbee is actually the motor side
It really emphasizes how compact they are. It’s quite surprising
Ya the small one is tiny… I wish the gear ratio of 1:4 good thing uncle @Skyart keeps stock of all the kvs you may want
F Wayfair… god i hate that company
Does anyone here have the 3.45 gears?
ya…
How you liking the ratio? I went with 5/1 because I don’t need big top speeds and prefer quick acceleration… was just curious how the 3.45 is in comparison
As you see picture above its not set up yet
I got a low KV motor to componensate. Will let you know once its up and running
I’m afraid it won’t fit.
Considering 30mm is the shaft length most of motor having, or we can make the motor plate more thin ![]()
…but that will bring another issue…everyone need to cut the shaft, lol.
Mmm yeah - I wouldn’t make them even smaller, no need unless you were going for minor weight savings
Good work dude!!!
Had a set of these delivered the other day and can confirm the wheel adapters work for meepo cyclone 165mm racing wheels,
Getting the grab screws in without cross threading them took ages and almost sent me mad but luckily they include some spares!
Also I had the motor mounting plate 180 degrees out when I mounted it to the gear drive so the bolts that secure them through the gear drive and into the mounting plate just wouldn’t line up I spent half hour working that out as they look like they should fit both ways but don’t!
Other than that went very smoothly until I put the wheels on at the end… and found my axles are 15mm too short so I can’t put the nut on! They are savage TKP trucks.
@Savage1 any chance of getting a couple of longer axles please!
Would love to hear if anyone has the 4GS as well as the Jump Drive and can compare noise. I’m totally loving the low noise of the 4S and so far I would gladly put them on another road board although only time will tell with durability. By the way, spare parts for the 4GS are now available on the Newbee site. I ordered additional plate adapters so I can easily rotate tires through as well carry a fully-inflated spare on a wheel and change it in a jiffy.
For a mountainboard I’m planning to go with Jump Drive as I expect it to be more durable to heavy abuse plus you don’t even need an adapter on the wheels at all.
Yes, I’ll PM you so I don’t muddy up this thread.
Hey dude
Check this video out for some noise idea, bear in mind they are no where near as loud as the video makes them sound as Lee is using a shotgun microphone low down but the tones are all true to life. There’s a low speed grumble that gradually turns to a high pitch whine at high speeds, sounds pretty cool.
