New Lacroix Model -> Nazare

It’s missing all the fuel injectors rn, we got refurbished ones but our mechanic is quitting very soon so if anything else goes wrong it will be too expensive to fix…it probably won’t make it through It’s 22nd inspection

Ah nice! I’ve always liked the ‘95 318ti, I didn’t even realize they had a ‘93 year one… :joy: @ZachTetra

Damn @aaron … The only time my parents had a car break down was when someone smashed the fiberglass front of their car, and that didn’t necessarily “break it down”…

were they BMWs?

My mom says she will never get one of their cars again.

Nah, it was a Mercedes e63, But a lot of people like BMW’s, haven’t heard of one broken down like that before/that many times…

idk man, I don’t think I’d ever get one in my life after hearing whats happened.

Same…

Hey Pred, I wasn’t poking fun at you. You are a beacon of civility on that page and I don’t understand how you manage to stay so focused and level headed with all the stuff that comes your way. But let’s be honest here, there are a few people who take their Lacroix a little too seriously, and assume everything else is shite. It comes with the territory I guess for anything that is high end / expensive and that’s a cross the Lacroix has to bear

why is 10s not enough?? is no fun to drive with a skateboard 40mph. 10s is enough and 16 inch trucks are too enough. always get bigger and bigger. and all think it’s better.
you drive the new board?

It’s simple: I drink lots of coffee :).

Suspension is the Baja unique selling point, I see nothing here that can complete with that, these decks would never make it over the rocks on my beach trail that my Baja loves

But Baja can’t compete with a 12s12p, they are still playing with 10s I think.

I fancy one if these but it’s not enough, I would still need my Baja

Simply because drop below 50% on a 10s and power goes to shit meanwhile 12s will remains powerful throughout most of the battery cycle.

As a side note. 12s doesn’t mean that you have to max out your top speed all of the time. That’s optional! You can still ride slow if that’s what you like to do with the advantage of always having that extra power lets just in case you want to go a little faster

Pls have a cup of coffee my brother

Baja is great but maintaining that board in a great condition is a bitch.

I have had the discussion dozens of times with people like @psychotiller and @sender. Gearing is just as important as voltage when considering speeds.

You can just as easily use a 12S battery pack and build a 5 mph board as use a 10S battery pack and make a 35 mph board. Think about your gear ratios.

I can ship esk8s to anywhere in the world we aren’t in conflict with. If you want to join the Bio-Arc-LHB party, let me know.

If they can afford UL certification they can afford to mass produce at a giant factory and UL later. UL is fucking outrageously expensive. When I looked into it a little over 2 years ago, i would have been the fist esk8 to UL list. Companies have been building esk8s for ten years already at that point yet i would have been the first? Because they want $50k to even talk to you then you need to spend time and money defining tests and scenarios and not to mention building a dozen boards for them to destroy.

Nobody can afford that in our industry yet, we’re too young.

How is ArcBoards dealing with this situation? Somebody should hit them up if they have questions about this. They’re easy to talk to.

Also, the new Lacroix is dope on the dirt track. And the street track. I was utterly fearless on that thing. the only board i rode faster was @jamie 's redember/psycho rig and that thing was locked in on rails on the street track.
