I had a similar in one of the tubes on one of my BKB’s. I swapped the tube for a Hota tube which is noticeably beefier feeling. I’ll probably swap the rest of them over to be safe.

Same just swapped in a Hota tube and agree it feels much beefier. Annnnnnnnnd just came home to the other side also being flat, other rear tire.
What size are your hota tubes?

They’re 150mm I believe, meant for 6 inch pneumies. Going to need to order more to switch over all my BKB tubes

I think they just say 150x50 on them. The BKB’s say 6 x 1-1/4” I believe

One thing you can do to reduce friction between the tube and tire is to use baby powder aka talcum powder or tire talc. Just put some in your hand and rub it on.

Ok in the second flat after last nights sesh I found again a tiny hole due to stress on the tube. Annnd looks like the valve stem is starting to peel.
So it seems like a good idea to just get Hota tube or some other 6 inch tube. Let’s see how long the Hota tubes last in these tires (hopefully more than 18 miles
).

Yeah I got 2 flats aswell wasn’t as meticulous at inspecting why, but replaced all tubes with hota tubes and they holding well so far

Please continue to keep us update on how well the hota tubes hold up.
I have been planning on putting these tires on my demonseed, but it is a very carvy build so right now it looks like I’d be blowing out tubes in short order.

Depends who you want to give money. Evolve is out of 6 inch tubes, but they have them. MBoards and Boneeboards also carry them.
Another thing you can do after putting some baby powder on the tube is throw some into the tire itself and spread it around. Really cuts down on friction.

I feel ya. But I didn’t spend much time searching lol. So, if anyone knows someone else who carry’s them I’m all ears.
I buy tubes off aliexpress. If you aren’t in a rush, it’s usually the cheapest place to get them. If you want them quicker, backfire sells sets of 4, 150x50 tubes for pretty cheap.

Did we get any successful wide hubs with these yet? I’m thinking of doing 5 or 6mm just to not have spacers on my GD

I haven’t tried it, but my impression from what I’ve seen posted is that these tires just don’t stretch that well.
