hmmm that track is a little shorter than avs (1.28km) this is gonna be an interesting challenge. idk how well raith corners, or accelerates, but you should have a decent counter advantage there I think.
Im hoping so. Cheers.
Yeah I’d be very curious how their board accelerates. Will be cheering for you dude.
No way he’s hanging with you on thanes in the bends.
I’ve ridden that board, it literally didn’t turn at least in the setup I rode. I’m used to extremely stiff setups but that was something different and I don’t imagine it’s meant to go through corners fast with those wheels.
No but he thinks he’ll be hitting 90kph on straights so he has that advantage. It will be interesting for sure.
Yeah I’ve ridden their 2wd version and certainly tight cornering will be tricky. I’m imagining being DH riders they may slide their boards around the tighter bends.
Is there going to be any recording of any sort?
Most likely. Although, the Elizabeth Quay event had a full live stream and then none of the footage has surfaced yet still so I can’t say for sure.
@Tasventouras may be able to shed some light on that. He may have his new drone filming.
I had that thought while I was typing that but I can’t see how that would be even remotely competitive. It would be awesome if it was possible though, I want to see it
You’d think they would need pretty great acceleration to make it viable
Yeah true. It will be a very interesting day out. I hope everyone can stay on their boards at those speeds
.
I’ll be debuting my secondhand motorcylce racing leathers for this race. Gonna be roasting ![]()
Hey, good luck! Better let them smell a poopie! (Dutch saying
)
Good luck and have fun! Raith boards are crazy fast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzOyFbB32U4
I will try get the drone up, however I’ll also be event managing, lap timing, record keeping, photographing as well as racing ![]()
There are a couple of hobbyist drone videographers coming to the event and there is a chance we will have some professional coverage on the ground from firesteel media who took care of Elizabeth Quay footage. At the very least there will be plenty of photos and video from the community.
Being on a shoestring budget for this event means we haven’t engaged with any contractors to film or edit, so everyone there on the day (professional and non-professional) will be donating their time, which is an amazing gift to give us.
In regards to the Elizabeth Quay event footage, it will come, but we are trying to polish the footage to be able to present to investors. We had spent upwards of $40,000 on world class coverage on the ground, in the sky and broadcast live, as well as a commentary team, megascreen and DJ to add to the production (on top of all the infrastructure on the day) so it would be a shame not to have it edited and mastered to the same standard.
We are slowly sifting through footage to put out for highlights and rest assured, they will come out soon. The aftermath of running such a large event with such a small team had taken its toll, especially on my business partner @RVRT who poured a lot of time and money into it, more so than anyone else.
To put the edit together costs money and time, and at this stage of ERL we’re investing that money on getting the business further structured so we can reach other cities and countries as soon as possible.
A full re-stream will come! We’re sorry for the delay
Appreciate the hard work you guys do!! I’m just a bum who rocks up to race but even that is stretching the relationship with wifey. Would love to invest more time.
As for the footage, makes complete sense you want that investment to look professional. Just hurry up ![]()

Love your work!!!
I’m aiming for an end of year wrap up event with the re-stream ready to show at hi voltage track bar, coupled with a track session and maybe a couple of cheeky races. Would make for a good Christmas pressie. We’ll try our best!
Go team ERL! It’ll be us two vs 2 Raith boards. The leagues first proper esk8 engineering challenge. It will be Interesting to see how the two different styles of setups perform
Figured I’d piggy back on this thread instead of starting another racing thread
I’ll finally be testing out these HOTA’s that we bulk ordered with @frame at this weekends ERL event on a pretty large track. The increased top speed that will come with the tyre swap should put me in a slightly more competitive position than my current 165mm cyclones - at least in the top speed department. It’s going to be a very interesting race indeed, with the Raith guys’ skills and impressive top speed against @JeffyJ skillful riding as well as acceleration and handling advantage with his setup. I’ll just be trying my best to keep up with this lot ![]()
Are these 200mm instead or something?
I want to be a bum too! Hurry up Tas!
Seriously tho, the effort you guys have put in is monumental to say the least. I am super excited to see how far you can take it.
