These are 175mm, the cyclones are 165mm. So only a very slight top speed increase of course but I’ll take what I can get. I also adjusted the 3 links for increased stability on the longer tracks and after a quick run around the block it’s all feeling pretty good

There were a few esk8 clips on ERL instagram. Should be a lot more coming out soon. Scott Davies youtuber was there filming a lot as well.
Here were my fastest laps of the day…
Track layout was longer than planned but pretty epic!
Raith guys struggled through bends on thane but they had fun and awesome to see them fly down the main straight!!! I had a go on their 4wd board and went the fastest I’ve ever been on esk8 and was perfectly stable.
I really hope ERL go back here as was a faat track and need a bit more practice on those high speed bends.

Today was great fun and a good turnout! Albeit probably the most stressful ERL event I’ve run due to time constraints and some minor hiccups, but overall went smooth and everyone gave good feedback.
I got a couple of decent take-offs today where previously I have been lacking so I was pretty happy with that improvement as it’s something I’ve been focusing on over the past couple of weeks. I still need to push my top speed as the difference between @JeffyJ 's time and my own was around 3 seconds on this larger track! The board was geared for higher speeds than I reached today and I’m sure it’s definitely a mental barrier more than a physical one. Happy to have claimed P2 on the podium.
It was awesome to get the Raith guys involved even if their setups weren’t entirely suited for this track in the end. I imagine we’ll be moving to some larger tracks in the future as they’re getting involved in the ESRA.ORG.AU committee. Will be cool to see ERL diversify into short track and long track classes as well as PEV classes. Plenty of big things coming up for ERL

Interesting how on both laps you have a higher top speed on the shorter northern straight than the much longer western straight… those raceboxes sure are a sweet bit of kit.

This was likely due to a chicane added in to the western straight. The chicane was a bit controversial and I’m not sure it made the track any safer but others argued that it did.
The momentum of going into the large north western corner at a decent speed created a great rolling start to achieve that top speed on the northern straight

Yeah man. It’s taken me a while build back up to this speed again since coming off at 65km/h and ending up in the ER. It was literally 2 nights ago that I got past that barrier and it felt good! Time to crack that 70km/h next!

Yeah as Tas said the chicane had something to do with it. Also on that main straight there was a weird strip of fresh tarmac that created a bump running right down the middle of the long straight that we had to cross. I’m sure it was more mental visual distraction rather than a physical barrier but it made me take it easier down the main straight.

These guys are on the west coast. It’s a 5 hour flight over there… big trip but may have to make it happen.
East coast scene sucks

When we get over there next year we’ll be looking for people to start clubs with, so you can get more regular things happening. Can’t wait to get to get over to the east coast

Unfortunately, esk8 is barely shown which I’m a bit disappointed about. Oh well, I guess he’s the head of ERiderz which is EUC based. Still a nice edit and shows the track layout. It was actually just over 1km (not 840m as planned).
There are a few videos of the esk8 races from spectators. I’ll try get hold of them and put on youtube.

Raith didn’t like the tight turns or pavement? They got smoked off the starting acceleration.
Aero lids and leather downhill suits look super slick though haha, they just need mad wheels to make a compatible wheel for them imo.
