My Esk8s. A journal of sorts

Leveled up to the Hakko today.
had mostly used a Ts-100.
I blame this expense(investment) on @monsterbuilder

does everyone else have a ridiculous collection of helmets…???
I do.
and added one more today.

New Olders arrived today, well before the cool weather.

quite surprised at how fast… only 28 days from order date(June 21)

it is still really snug when putting over my head…

cheek pads are tighter than the TSG.

but one of my main goals was to have more room directly in front of my mouth. and that is there.

What size is it? How many cm is your head circumference?

Oh sorry for the derail, I didn’t know there was a thread for this specifically.

I made the mistake of using Linny’s Hakko. Better than TS-80 and my ksger. Faaack.

I have just used it a tiny bit.
I still hate soldering so it was not magical in that way.

but it did seem better than the TS100 from my limited use so far.

I am going to try to solder some 12awg to mr60 and I am hating that…

I’m gonna say I have done enough miles to go around the Earth!!!

I think you mean through the earth

Diameter vs circumference

Just out of curiosity, what’s your year at?

oh, son of a bitch.
yes, I guess only made it through the earth and not around it…

math is hard.

at 1600 this year.
I am kind of slacking…

yesterday was a good example.
it was nice. I wanted to ride the Flux and then I got lazy and drank beers instead…

slacker…

With a family? Thats not slacking at all!

found some cool aerial pictures of the new trail connector that is near my house.

I take this to head into town on most rides.

yesterday I powered through the Bro and got it running.

I stole the battery from the Rally cat for the moment…

took it for a stroll last night…

took it for a mayden voyage today.

thanks a bunch @Venom121212 for making this adventure possible!!!

once I got to the park I actually put the heel straps on.

first time.

heel straps baby!!!

wow!!!

so far so good.

thanks a bunch to @Lee_Wright for the tips video on how to do the bindings.

and most importantly the leaning back/weight on the back foot thing.

that is huge and was not intuitive to me.

the board did great in the park.

just awesome.

heel straps were great for control.
wow.
and being able to jump 90 degrees.

I did not slam. thank goodness.
one time I could not break fast enough and slammed into a log and teetered to a nosewheely. would have definitely tried to bail that one.

and the other time I got stuck and was going to go down, but this nice tree was just behind me and I just got to lean back…

now.
for a guy that is not very flexible putting these on and off without a bench sucked…
I guess it will get easier.

jumping this thing was awesome.

I can actually bring the back up.

here is a little video of the trail.

ok.
things to do.
things to do…

I should focus.

1st I should build the battery for the Haero.
so I can get used to it with the additional 6 lbs I’m putting on there…

2nd I should get the Claus going.
slap this together then get a enclosure designed…

but nah!
lets get distracted.

1st distraction.
Mess with the Demonseed.

the other day riding freshies I had a hicup with the remote on the Demonseed.
and once again a few days later.
I flashed 23.64 back onto the Unity…
since they all seem to want to miss behave one with 5.01 or 5.02.

hic up was still there.

so I ordered a new remote.
the mini I have on here is 2 maybe 3 years old.

riding the other day I also dragged the enclosure turning, and on a tiny road bump.

so it has to go higher…

and I am putting on my newer flipsky 6374 motors replacing the old flipsky 6384s I was never a huge fan of.

So to go higher I decicded to use BN adjustable baseplates.

adds 16mm.
a bit more than just top mounting.

but I wanted the drop through look.

also I am going to use the BN xl mounts because apparetly I managed to bend the regular ones…

2nd distraction.

The Loaner.

Slap a bunch of parts together to get a board going so that I can let my neighbors and such ride it and even borrow it if they want.
