Not from eBay by the way.
How are those?
Fun!
But takes some hours to do by your own and don’t last for ages.
Here are a couple interesting, older snow tire threads from the dark side. I still want a set of Bara’s chains, even though I’d probably never get a chance to use them.
what do you use for layering inside the tire ?
An old bicycle tire stuffed with some braided wire
have you tried them yet and how did they feel ?
Yes i was riding them last winter.
They do a great job, but as I told before, they don’t last long if you as well drive on asphalt.
I would give them 150-200km max before you need to change the screws which takes some hours.
Little late to the thread but I’m going through the same - have board, waiting for batteries and collecting safety gear.
Good to know that a full armour jacket with back protector isn’t overkill. Ps - for boots, Dainese do a WP Street trainer that I wear on my scooter. I’m going to use those on the board as well. Very tough, comfy.
Any suggestions for winter clothing? Can’t really use kneepads and elbow pads but was looking for some warm gear that also adds a level of protection.
You made it! Welcome brother
kelvar motocycle jeans with build in \ removable pads. You can find ones that are made for cold weather
Just got some of these to test. I’m really curious, the idea of being able to just start working after a commute to work is very nice sounding.
I’m interested to see if there’s a difference in flex between same ply trampa mtb and carver decks. I wonder if the slightly narrower platform and much narrower tip would affect this much.
@rich you’re ridden both, notice anythng along those lines?
When I bought the 16ply HolyPro and the 14ply Carver deck I wanted about the same flex and was referring to this charts
I’m 74kg (163lb) and in the middle of the optimum flex of 16ply HolyPro.
That’s why I bought the 14ply Carver deck because the 15ply seemed too stiff.
In reality the 14ply Carver deck has much more flex than the 16ply HolyPro so the chart of the Carver is not that accurate. I guess the 15ply Carver deck would be close to 16ply HolyPro.
Can someone share the bolt pattern for Superstar hubs? Want to know the radius from the center to bolt, but the distance from bolt to bolt would be nice to know too.
Just want to verify that I can fit a sprocket small enough for gummies on there without bolts getting in the way of the teeth.
Ctc shaft bolt is 35mm
Ctc bolt to bolt is around 42mm
Think last you could calculate exactly with the shaft bolt distance and the angle you have.
360/5 = 72 degree
@Saturn_Corp if you get it work to fit sprockets for gummies, I’m in for a set of 4 as well. Hold me up to date
