@RyuX 3.7.10 is not a firmware, it is app version. I know, probably not easy to remember all those things, but there are a lot of stuff involved and it’s important to distinguish between OS version, app version, VESC firmware version, Metr Pro firmware version, etc.
In the log file you attached earlier (3 days ago) I could see the latest app 3.8.27 works fine with old module
So I am a bit confused you say it doesn’t work. A couple other users reported that the issue with old modules was solved and they work again as it was in 3.7.10
Since updating my records does not properly record a ride. Im honestly pretty pissed right now. I really wish you would make a lite version that I could just use to watch my stats. Zero ability to change any settings. My board is still slow as shit. And now not recording the data.
Can someone please post their esc and motor cutoff specs in f°
@rpasichnyk Yes I meant SW not FW in this case of course.
But if it works - why didn’t it work ?
the app would still show the disconnect RED icon and I would not be able to scan it…
Makes no sense that it shows that everything is ok in the app
Just reinstalled the latest SW and its not working - just like I said
It will only show the metr pro and not the 444 and also I am not able to scan for it
I got both Boards turned on and it will always only find the Metr Pro
On Android it sometimes take some time before the module is discovered on the first scan. Can you send another log with the latest Android app version available (3.8.30), turn of the board that has the Metr Pro inside, so only the one with the old module is on and wait about 1-2 minutes after hit the scan button just to be sure we get the output we are looking for in the log? Please send it to support@metr.at afterwards.
Hey @rpasichnyk think you could help me out when you have a chance real Quick pretty please… got my first metr pro Module from a buddy lent me an extra unit he had so I can familiarize myself with the app and what not while I wait even longer for my unities to arrive and to get a couple of those versions from you guys soon too. Any multi package discounts? Lol. Anyway, I normally always used an HM-10 BT unit for Vesc Info so I’m super excited to get to use yours now,!been having some issues on a motor that I’m hoping metr will help me diagnose. Here are some details…, using a 6 pin JST connector into the uart pin out on my master focbox i running as a dual set up via can bus. I am
Able to connect to the metr both on my iPhone settings and also in the metr and Xmatic apps. But thats where my fun ends… No telemetry / data… can’t figure out why… tried restarting phone and app. Turning b/t on and off. Repairing. Uninstalling and d/l the app again. Nothin. Here’s what xmatic was saying when trying to communicate. See pic. Thanks in advance brotha!
Mail is out - thanks for the recommendation but it did not work. It just will not show up no matter how long or often I hit scan and no matter how often I restart the board.
Hey guys, just wanted to give an update to my lack of power issue. I recalibrated ppm signal and got back my power. I was only getting 26% after the update for some reason.
@Andy87 distance on Realtime screen should reset now when switching boards @Murloc992 when phone is locked / app minimized, Realtime screen becomes active @RyuX let’s take the old modules not found problem via email @Jansen did you do pairing / enter PIN code? Please make sure Metr app works first, go to the https://metr.at and click App Store. When you have it connected and working, we can have a look at xmatic
Aww yiss dude. I just LOVE how you address the issues fast.
A little improvement question…
Is it possible to let us have our Metr.at accounts? That way we could have all our stats backed in the cloud, including all rides we upload. I find it extremely weird to have to reupload old rides, this wastes a bit of data too.
Let me know what you think. Maybe there’s some middleground.
Got it! Re d/l and restarted everything again and still didn’t work after pairing. Switched to my slave VESC and all is working good and fine now, did a couple runs last night to test it out. 2 quick things…
Does this mean something is wrong with my master VESC? Was set to PPM and UART and slave was set to UART and all other setting seemed fine and I plugged it in the same way as I did on my slave when it started working…?
Is there a way when you upload the data after a ride to look at it that I can have it show with the settings I have in the app? For example since I am in the US I have everything imperial, miles, Fahrenheit, etc. Would just be nice not to have to covert that stuff when analyzing… LMK and great work fellas.
Metr Pro should work with both master and slave. Try again, if it doesn’t work, check that green LED on Metr Pro blinking rapidly or always ON, in metr app go to Settings -> Show Logs -> send to support@metr.at
This is how you switch between metric and imperial
@Murloc992 accounts where you can see all your records is something I have planned, but it will take a while before it’s done
@rpasichnyk i tried to change the positive ramping yesterday on the master vesc via metr app, but after read, change, write and read again, the value didn’t change.
Vesc FW was 3.48
Online uploads do show the ppm values, so does the realtime tab. But looking at records within the app does not show them (no drop downmenu to choose what values are visible).
If you provide an extra cable, that would be great to have a short one.
In some enclosure we run out of room and having a long cable in that case is a pain.
