Metr Pro Updates

Smoothing is only active when not moving. Flipsky uses cheap components, that’s probably why the voltage jumps

Thanks Roman -just seen smoothing voltage margin on latest update-works a treat.I set mine to 1.3V
Flipsky dual 6 vesc owners will thank you a lot
Cheers

Hey… I have two different boards… One uses the old Metr Module and my new one uses the Metr Pro.

One board is a mountainboard and it uses a different gear ratio than my normal longboard.

Is it possible to save different profiles or do I have to change the Motor Ratios etc. every time I want to use the other board ?

It is possible. Your settings (modes, motors, battery) will change automatically when you switch between your boards.

Any plans to add throttle curve settings with curve display? I would kill to be able to adjust my braking curve from my phone atm…

I’m still rocking my old metr modules. After the latest update I’m no longer able to connect. Anyone else?

@rpasichnyk Could you send me the prior version of the app to check and see?

What metr app version are you running? I tested with an old module and the latest firmware for me available and it worked.

@SeanHacker here are all previous versions https://apkpure.com/metr-at/at.metr.app What Android version do you have?

You can try some apks, but it can also be that application cache was lost and your run Android Oreo or above :arrow_right: doesn’t work with old modules very well :broken_heart:

Fun fact, I tested on 2 phones, Moto 4G (Android 6 Nougat) and Pixel 3 (Android 10 Q beta). Works on both. I don’t get it. Did Google change their mind and finally fixed this issue after 3 years?

I only had some problems on earlier versions of Android 8. But otherwise it’s been flawless since you released your first older modules. I’m always on the latest source build that we do or running stock for shits and giggles sometimes. I’m on stock Android 9.0.4 (OnePlus 3) right now. Everything worked per usual as I use your app everyday. Just stopped connecting after the update while I was at work. I’ll screw around with things and see what’s up.

Thanks for the link dude. Going to see if reverting one release gets this thing to connect again.

@rpasichnyk

So I couldn’t get any apks downloaded from apkpure. Just dead at download. So I found an older version on the web (version 3.7.10). Installed it and all 3 of my boards connected no problem. Installed the latest update. Nothing and won’t connect. If there’s anything I can do to help debug, just let me know.

Since I didn’t have any phone that has this problem, but @hexakopter did it took us some time with remote printf debugging  to come up with a fix. Please try v3.8.26 when it hits the Play Store.

@SeanHacker just because of you

My other longboard using the old metr module will also not connect / or scan anymore :frowning: (Running Android 8)
My metr pro module is fine though…

@rpasichnyk Any ideas as I want to use both on the same phone :frowning:

Some Android phones will not discover old metr modules anymore, there is nothing I can do about it. Some phones still do though, and the fix I did was for those phones that can. What phone do you have? Maybe custom ROM will help? (No idea )

I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that is rooted and I am running Android 8.0.0

Can’t upgrade the OS because of the rooting method so I am stuck with this version.
However strangely I have been using the old metr module on this phone around 2 months ago without any issues.

Now since I got the new metr pro module and I added this to my metr app the old one is not working anymore. So I don’t think its a problem with my Phone or OS because it was working 2 months ago and I never changed anything on the Phone/OS itself :frowning:

You can install some apps that perform BLE scan from Play Store and see for yourself that those apps can not discover the old module either. It was still working because that module was discovered on your old OS and information was saved in cache. But probably the cache was lost and you can no longer discover the module -> sad times

I only ever used Android 8 on this phone and it is the only phone I ever used this on :open_mouth:

Weird  Try scan again, see if you have metr-xxx in the metr app log file
