Would there be any easy way to just get new cables? Or check the bus? (Should there be continuity through the CANH and CANL lines using stock cables?)
Yes, please check, there should be continuity through the CANH and CANL lines.
Will do, I will have access to tools again late tonight
Eyy I fixed it! Turns out the high and low pins were swapped on one of the connectors
Whatâs a good number of satalites to get reliable data?
Why canât I merge these rides?
Also it only seems to log if the app is open at the start of a ride, if my phone has Bluetooth off and I start skating it doesnât load anything when I reconnect
Just finished wiring up my Metr on a 5V DC-DC off my main pack inside my battery box with a shielded cable going from my battery box out to the enclosure housing my twin ESC; Did you ever add support for always-on operation?
Do you mean for Metr LTE or?
I have a Metr CAN plus the LTE and GPS modules
Among other things the cell phone app doesnât exactly show fully paired unless my ESC is turned on.
This is unfortunately not yet done. But it will be!
How is the Wh/mi calculation done with multiple ESCâs and motors? Is that value for one motor or for the whole system?
Main page shows 9.5 Wh/mi and yet the ride record shows 24.7 Wh/km which translates to something like 39.7 Wh/mi; how is there such a disparity?
Hereâs the logs; first ride was with both my ESCâs on the same CAN channel (by accident); I power cycled the ESC and force killed the cell app and then reconnected after correcting this; rode a short distance and saw the number disparity for efficiency.

Edit: even weirder, the app notification shows 27 Kw/mi efficiency⌠none of these numbers line up.
Also, any word on support for Expert mode ESC programming on firmware 6.00+? I just upgraded my ESCâs today and saw I can no longer change settings on the ESCâs.
Update your metr app. It has FW6 support.
Just did; will test again later to see if any of the other issues I reported continue.
Home screen (middle page), record view screen (second screenshot you showed), and the 3rd - pull down from the top of your phone to show notifications. The Metr entry shows a difference there too. This is specifically with two ESCâs, twin motors, (and in case it matters, Iâm running 8:44 gear ratio with 225mm wheels)
Those are different kinds of Wh displays
This shows your current/live consumption
this is the average from the ride/record
this i believe is also a live feed from your current consumption, just with a different refreshrate
correct me if iâm wrong @rpasichnyk
Last question - What would it take to allow for the records to display in Kw/mi instead of Kw/km for the record screen depending on distance unit setting?
Oh cool! Wondered what those buttons did but didnât realize it was for display. Nice!
